As I was editing this song, I felt this intense sadness. Some kids grow up with people telling them they are not good enough, and they believe that who they are is not worth anything. They carry these emotions, these feelings of being unseen, unheard and misunderstood into adulthood. This is why doing something you love, making music, writing your soul into a piece of art that reflects your being is such a healing and magical experience. A journey of self-discovery and reflection. And even if no one else hears your voice, your soul is in the sounds, the echoes of you believing in yourself. Chances are, there is someone out there who was saved because of your song, because you shared a part of yourself you once kept hidden.
