Like a man whose name is forgotten.

I've never won any prizes.
Of course, there's no way to gamble and win.
I have never held a position of honor.
And dogs never tamed me.

Like a man whose name is forgotten.
I only smile quietly.

When I try to order, the waiter doesn't come.
Often only my food doesn't reach.
And when I meet up with people, I'm usually kept waiting.

Like a man whose name is forgotten.
I've gotten used to that by now.

If there were a town somewhere with only sober people, 
would I be able to live there peacefully?

As long as you guys enjoy it, that's all that matters to me.
I'm not a great man, so please don't mind me.
Well, you guys are quite the feat.

The Return

her: Tell me more about my hair
him: It is mystery, black as a summer's night
her: Tell me more of my skin
him: It is white as the snow, immaculate in the light

her: what do you love about my hands?
him: they bless everything you touch
her: what do you love  my lips?
him: the roses are afraid to bloom, they're so red and lush

HIM:
let me make you my wife
i will describe to you, all of life
to will hold you and protect you, and love you so



HER:
i won't let myself be your bride
i am in the darkness, i am my only guide
how can i know, if all my love truly shows?

and so he thought.....

HIM:
I will give her my eyes
she will not know my surprise
i want to show her the light
from her beauty that shines
all around her

and now with her new sight, open eyes in delight,
and this is what he said to she

HIM:
Now my love, tell me what you see?
Now my love, will you marry me?
Now my love, i hope you can see


HER:
I see a blind man! a liar it seems!
why is just now, that i can see!?
you have no sight? have you never seen me?
have you always lied to me?

Him: No! my love!

Her: have you always been blind to me?

HER
you said my hair was a mystery, black as a summers night
you said my skin was white as the snow, immaculate in  light
you said my hands blessed everything that they touch
you said my lips scared the roses from bloom, so red and lush


HER: and now I say to you!

HIM: no, please!

HER: leave me!


and so he was gone
and time passed on,
now she's missing her true love
and she's called for him

to return love her again
forgive her and trust again

then she had learned
when he failed to return
he had taken his own life
because she refused to be his wife


a letter arrived for her, a note was scribed just for her

my love, take care of my eyes,
for now they are yours
