I wanted to capture those moments when the world around us feels familiar, even if it's the first time we're experiencing it.

I’ve layered soft, evolving textures and light rhythmic pulses to create a feeling of floating through memories—inviting you to close your eyes, take a breath, and let go. Perfect as a backdrop for quiet reflection, creative work, or just those times when you need a little mental escape.

Reverse Relaxation

a talk exploring curiosity and compression as complex systems, using computational modeling and neuroscientific data. The speaker investigates how and why we seek novelty versus familiarity, proposing a model of curiosity based on exploration styles like "hunters" and "busy bodies" and examining its correlation with mood states and cross-cultural happiness data. The talk then shifts to lossy compression as a mechanism for novelty detection through pattern separation in memory, presenting behavioral experiments and computational analyses of image features. Finally, it introduces a framework for understanding efficient coding and compression in brain networks using random walks and relating it to metabolic resources, myelin content, cognitive performance, and regional brain function specialization.
