"Grund" is German and translates to "Reason". But it also could be interpreted as "Ground/Foundation/Path/Way"  or even "Bottom/Pit/Hole/Depths" at the same time, depending on timing and context. 

So the Reasons you pick for your actions, are the Foundation you walk upon, or the Traps you capture yourself in.. 

German is an absolutely beautiful language and very rich in theoretical meaning, but also making you aware of the practical consequences of your (in)-actions.
