And though not short of his own musical achievements, Dave Audé’s dream comes alive courtesy of this transatlantic connection with Erasure vocalist Andy Bell.  Taking one of the elder statesman of electro-pop’s former glories to heart, Audé shows a little respect by teasing in classic 80s synth strokes with his contemporary flavors, creating an analog/digital soundclash that proves the perfect bed for Bell’s effortlessly and impeccably delivered vocals.  Now here we go!

Back in 1988 Erasure released their 'Crackers International' EP which, led by the lead track 'Stop!', reached number two in the UK charts. The EP also featured the festive track 'She Won't Be Home' which has since become a Christmas classic in its own right.

In 2013, when Erasure released their festive album 'Snow Globe', Vince and Andy revisited 'She Won't Be Home' and created a new version of the song which was included on the expanded 'Nutcracker Edition' of the album. This year that version of the song is just one of the bonus tracks to be featured on the very first vinyl edition of 'Snow Globe' which is released - alongside the first vinyl edition of 'Tomorrow's World' - this Friday, December 2nd.

Both albums are available to pre-order now from Lexer Music as coloured-vinyl double-disc editions with a selection of bonus tracks.

I started out mixing all of the vinyl I had collected at the tender age of 16. By that point I had a healthy stash of 12" singles bought at the local record shops, Waterloo and Sound Exchange in Austin, Texas. It was 1990 and I had no idea where my fascination with mixing records would eventually lead me.

When the birth of the Austin rave scene happened in 1992 after a passionate couple of ravers from San Francisco moved to my home city, I was right there in the thick of it and quickly became one of Austin's most successful DJ's, playing at a majority of the events happening in the capital city.

When by chance, in 1994, a guy named Daniel Foreman who was about to open a club in Austin showed up to a warehouse party that the other prominent DJ's of Austin's underground scene and I were playing at, the unlikely birth of Proteus happened. I was one of the resident DJs at Proteus for several years and became even more well known and in demand. Proteus is still, after 20 years, notoriously known as one of Austin's  most loved and influential nightclubs ever.

While all of this was going on, I was honing my production skills as well, eventually attending and graduating from Pyramind, a music production, theory, and business school in San Francisco. This led to my music being released worldwide by  record labels such as Harmonious Discord Recordings, Whiskey Pickle Records, Denied Music, Fett Recordings, LB Recordings, Alakazam Recordings, MadRat Promotions, SubTech Collective Light, and others.

Many years later, now having lived in San Francisco for over a decade and with the incredible success of my production work, I have begun my own record label, Subplot Recordings in order to influence your mind and control your body on the dance floor, wherever that may be.
