Laverne Floris is a born and bred curator and DJ from Cape Town, South Africa. Growing up around Rhythm & Blues, Soul and funk music all around her household has influenced her taste in music. 

Digging for music has become her constant hobby and she's managed to turn that into a DJ and radio career. 

One would describe verningitup's sound as R&B Futurebeat bounce, taking the crowd back in time to the 90s and early 2000s then bringing it back to the present day.
