Simon's compositional style is characterized by a fusion of diverse elements and a willingness to experiment with new forms of expression. That’s Pete and Pete, the original members, augmented with Spud, Pecos,  Snooks and Smooch. Pete and Pete were formally founder members of The Petes. The band like to explore a range of musical styles. They started out with folk, rock and blues but they have also been exploring a vocal style of lizard-lounge type jazz too - smoky and melodic. You’ll find love songs, both exuberant and elegiac, along with songs of loss, as well as songs lamenting the state of our world and our society.
