For this episode we invited the very talented Colombian dj/producer JUAN PABLO TORREZ! 

Born in Cali, Colombia, but now living in Medellín, Colombia, Juan
Pablo Torrez fell in love of electronic music at a very short age with
progressive trance music, but it was not until his 18 years old that he
took his love for this music to the decks. Afterwards, highly influenced
by artists like Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Sasha
and by progressive, trance and techno sounds of that time, Juan
Pablo Torrez made his style very versatile which allowed him to surf
between genres and that he maintains until today. This has taken him
to perform in countries like Greece, Hungary, Spain, Argentina, United
States, México, and more; he has hold plenty of club residencies as
well as performed in major and massive events Summerland Festival
Main Stage (Cartagena, Colombia), DayDreaming Festival (Budapest,
Hungary), Bloque Festival (Kavala, greece) and lately on the Burning
Man Dusty's Multiverse.
Over the years, he has shared the spotlight with many of dance
music’s greatest artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha,
Hosh, Matador, Jeremy Olander, Danny Howells, Dave Seaman, Tiesto,
Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz,
Funkagenda, Cid Inc, Darin Epsilon, Anthony Pappa, Dmitry Molosh,
and countless others. He has been invited to be in important
radioshows and live streaming sets such as the infamous Tony
McGuinness from Above & Beyond’s Deep Set, Shai T’s Circulation
radioshow, Electronic Groove, Paul Thomas’ UV radioshow, among
others (see Multimedia section).
To date, Juan Pablo Torrez has released music on The Soundgarden,
Balance, Plattenbank, JOOF Recordings, Parquet Recordings,
Perspectives Digital, Beatfreak Recordings, Clubsonica Records, FSOE,
FSOE UV, Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo, to name a few. His productions
have entered Beatport’s Top 100 charts several times and has being
supported, charted and played by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy
J, Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Paul Van Dyk, Nick Warren, Tony
McGuinness (Above & Beyond), Nicole Moudaber, Eelke Kleijn, Darin
Epsilon, Paul Thomas, Ruben de Ronde, and more. This has lead him
to be one of the best selling artists on Beatport in the Progressive
House category.
As a label owner for his very own Clubsonica Records, he has
managed to place is as one of the most important independent music
labels from Colombia and one of the most important Progressive
House music labels worldwide, by sharing his unique vision of quality
music. His label has been supported by some great dance music
artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, John
Digweed, Guy J, Joris Voorn, Edu Imbernon, Maceo Plex, Luciano,
Tiesto, Mind Against, Paul Van Dyk, Edu Imbernon, Danny Tenaglia,
Nick Warren, Henry Saiz, Aly & Fila, Paul Thomas, and the list goes
on.
This has lead his label to be one of the top best selling labels in
Progressive House and Organic House on Beatport. Clubsonica has
been awarded as “Best Music Label 2023”by Colombian Dance
Awards.
As a radio host, Juan Pablo Torrez has an exclusive 2-hour Clubsonica
Records radioshow at Proton with amazing guestmixes, which has
been several times as a Proton Radio top show. Furthermore, he has
become a Proton’s official curator. In addition, he has another
exclusive monthly radioshow at Frisky called Progressions, which has
reached severaltimes TOP 10 in this mighty radio.

Back in 2004, the fusion of the sounds of soft and mystical house rhythms as well as harmonic parts inspired by trance music gave rise to the first ideas of a project that would only start to appear more actively on the edm scene a little later, a project called Jelly For The Babies.
What adorns the producer behind the above-mentioned project is the variety in his creations, playing with synths and rhythms, experimentation that eventually led to his sound being easily recognizable.
Just like his spirit, his music is not bound by genre, but is "free", and you can see the releases signed both for progressive and techno, as well as for publishing houses that cultivate the sound of deep, minimal and organic house music. .
Therefore, the very thing that makes him original leads to his music, throughout his career, being supported, both through sets and through the charts, by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Way Out West, Guy J and many others.
Then come the first international guest appearances, tours, festivals and club parties in Lithuania, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Holland, Italy as well as countries in the region.
Graduated Audio & Video engineer as well as the owner of three publishing houses, The Purr, One Of A Kind and RYNTH, where he mentioned discovering new talents, giving young producers a chance, promoting them in the best possible way and mutual cooperation with more experienced colleagues as the key thing .

If I had to define my existence, it would not be written in a book, but played through notes in life over the years.
