For the very first time, we travel to the Austrian capital to welcome on board the one and only Xenia Nanou a.k.a. POLYXENE (@xenianogravity). A Greek artist based in Vienna who started out in the music universe as a sound engineer and soon became a thorough digger in her early years, was part of the platform @femdex, has her own monthly show on Movement Radio, and, all in all, has paved her way in the electronic scene evolving into one of the best electro DJ’s in this day and age. Her sets are a powerful blend of electro, IDM, and breaks skilfully combined which might escalate into acid or even techno making dancers go completely crazy. And this podcast is no exception. Enjoy it!

N2MU PDCST 062 - POLYXENE

Episode 19 is dedicated to Sci Fi Electro series, where each artist has created a 15 minute track per side (2 tracks in total), taking you from pure electro tracks to very experimental compositions, sounds and atmospheres. The series is a collection of seven releases inspired by the following films created in the 20th century: THX 1138, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Thing, Akira, Terminator and Tron. 
You will listen interpretations inspired by movies: THX 1138 (by Transpac) and Blade Runner (by Scape One). This is our tribute as well to the talented Greek electronic music artist - Vangelis (RIP), who has written music for Blade Runner movie. Tracks have been released only in vinyl format (Electro Records). Enjoy and thanks for listening !

Bio & TL:

Maltese music artist Volph has graced the decks for the last 20 years. It all started as a duo under the A.I. alias, playing mostly old school electro and anything in between. 

After they both decided to part ways he started experimenting on his own music and spent most of his time in the studio creating new electro sounds which recently lead to his various releases

He's been producing tracks since 2016. His interest in synthesizers began in his childhood, with an early inspiration being Van Halen and Rush. After some years he discovered Drexciya and the Electro journey had begun. He has releases on labels such as Intellitronic Bubble, FNS, Mind Controlled Rectifier and more.

This recording was made using mostly beautiful music produced by two wonderful records labels 'KOMPACT' and 'SCAPE'.
In this project I used both vinyl and MP3 using SERATO but mainly I used the invaluable support of a synthesizer NLog PRO that creates  sidereal sounds.

[Cyclo Sound] present: Step Across The Border

JemB starts his experience as a DJ in Bologna in the early 90's through the radio experience of 'K Centrale Radio' and format KONTAINER (http://www.radioforpeace.info/kontainer.htm)
The radio becomes an important  professional experience for JemB, where he matures and refines his djing technique . The radio also became an important meeting point where JEMB can deal with a lot of djs, producers, promoters and where important collaborations and friendships were born. 
Jemb gained his experience working together with labels such as Mixtophonico lab, [LED] Link Electronic Department, Italian Bassline rec., Afun rec and Tz records. He also shared the microphone with the Unzip Project (shape / Cocoricò club) and who will also attend the Street Rave in 2003 in Bologna.
Thanks to these strong relationships,
JEMB brings in the studios of  'K Centrale Radio' International Djs such as Norm Talley (Beatdownsound rec.), Khan (matador rec - playhouse rec.), Daniel Meteo (Meteo Sound), dj K Rock (Rephlex rec), Vladimir Ivkovic (Important rec), Amon Tobin (ninja tune), dj Food(ninja tune), Bad Company( B.C. Rec), Usual Suspect feat Mc.Verse (Hardware Renegade rec.), Cause 4 Concerne (C4C rec), Danilo Vigorito (orion), Wang Inc (sonig rec), Panacea (position Crome rec.) just to mention some.
