Jemex (David Maldonado) is a  producer hailing from Brooklyn. He discovered music at the age of 13 and soon started piano lessons with a local teacher and participated in music competitions throughout high school. Upon being accepted to New York University in 2002 he took a short break from music to reflect on the next part of life.

Then, in 2006, Jemex met newcomer Dean Gray. (Derrius Clark) Hailing from Detroit, Jemex soon realized that Dean Gray had a voice that needed to be heard and thus they began making music together with amateur equipment and unpolished vocals.

In 2007 Jemex took home the coveted grand prize at New York’s iStandard Producers Showcase where producers in the camps of such industry heavyweights as Timbaland and 50 Cent told the duo to just get your music out there.

By 2008, music lovers around the world were so thirsty for their unique sound that El Fin, the 1st single from their New EP Square 1, was featured on the Forever 21 stores' in-store playlist for the month of January 2009. 

On June 2nd 2009 Jemex/Dean Gray album, Square 1, was released digitally worldwide. Jemex is currently working on new material

Decent Lovers make fun, simple experimental pop songs that have been written up by NME Radar, Indie Shuffle, Pigeons and Planes, Mercedes Mixedtape, Soundcloud, BBC6 and bunches more.  They use synths, pitched guitars and autoharp, drum machines, vocoders and voices.  

Decent Lovers have opened for Foster the People, Hollerado, !!! + Darwin Deez and like toured and stuff.

Biography
Mayer Morissette has been described as having a smooth and rounded voice_ evocative of Brian McKnight and Luther Vandross , yet with his own unique tone and style. His songs are always moving and poignant, in the sense of vulnerability and sensitivity. There are many reasons why Morissette's  music is so distinct. His passion for music arises from an eclectic background, a solid education, the influence of some of his favorite artists and a culmination of his life. He has performed musically at BB king House of Blues, Carnegie Hall, Joe's Pub, Webster hall and most recently, Saint John’s University.
Morissette's authentic soulful approach to music has warmed the hearts of his fans throughout the United States, Canada, Germany and his respective country Haiti. His long anticipated single “The Night Turns Into Day”  is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2014 and he is hopeful that it will be exactly what his fans have been waiting for. 
His outstanding performances and devotion to his craft have earned him several privileges and honors. He is the recipient of the prestigious 2009 Global Humanitarian Citizenship Award -2010 Levy Award and most recently, a lead role in the first Haitian Movie/Musical "Madame ou Mademoiselle?"
