Uroczysko2024

Last edition of Ambient Festival in Liběchov… Beautiful atmosphere as always. This set was played at sunday noon, and nothing made more happier that to see people calmly relaxing or even meditating on the stage.

Beginning of the set is set in C key for quite some time, because there were some/many tracks I wanted to play for my father, who invited me to ambient world a long time ago. It was nice to see parents on the festival :-)

Travelling on the soundscapes of many drones... Some of them touch a bit of mysticism of ancient cultures, some of them just explore stillness present in electric oscillations...

This is probably the deepest drone ambient set I recorded. The Kopuła at Uroczysko festival turned into Dronament...

Czajnik on Uroczysko is a magical place, here are the sounds, that made it vibrate on 2024 edition. Deep and atmospheric, yet chilled and nice going tunes, spanning many years and styles in psychedelic chillout and bass music.

We were very happy to be there... ❤️

Kopuła stage on Uroczysko is a rare place, where the most calm and yet very deep music can be heard. 

I have been working on a new selection for last year and half with a lot of effort. It is different from my previous sets, there is none of my usual space ambient interprets, the whole concept is focused more on travelling through electronic landscapes with occasional hints of periodic oscillations, sometimes even rhythms. Rather eclectic selection of tracks, at least for me.

I was very happy to share this selection and I'd like to pay respect to the stage manager of Kopuła - Nomatrixx - for breathing life to this kind of contemplative stage on such energetic festival.

Btw there is a slight misalignment in the whole recording, but I will keep the specific nature of it for you to discover.

AmbiJendů in Kopuła @ Uroczysko 2024 (ambient soundscapes journey)

This is drone ambient set I played @ Ambient Festival 2015 in Liběchov orchard and replayed it @ Yes Café in Prague (because recording from the festival got damaged). 
Nearly from the beginning the journey goes through various space/ritual/spiritual/desert/swamp/cave/jungle/arctic landscapes made of both electronic and traditional instruments (including singing bowls), with occasional voices, chants from ancient cultures.

Peace, meditation, contemplation, clarity and fascinating atmospheres…

I have been listening to this kind of music for over ten years and it never stops to amaze me...

Recording from Ambient Festival 2016, situated in deep early morning, with atmospheric drones, darker passages, voice elements, instruments...

The set has mystical beginning evolving into a bit darker morning contemplation, as the sun is not yet fully present on the visible sky. But as it shows up, the darkness is going away, touching different places of ambient sound map, including field recordings (which were a topic of 2016 edition), gradually getting to peaceful start of the second day of the gathering...

2018 edition of Ambient Festival at Liběchov orchard had an epithet "The Voices", so I selected more tracks with different sorts of singing in this one.

You can hear beautiful voices of Birgitte Grimstad, India Czajkowska (Parallel Worlds), Mark Seelig, Mathias Grassow, David Hykes & The Harmonic Choir (Rebecca Krause, Theodore Levin) and of course Jim Cole. Supplemented with some tibetian monks singing (greatly composed into deep stories by David Parsons), speech of some native tribes and also abstract speech landscapes of Biosphere.

These voices are accompanied at the beginning with some experimental noise collages and then with my favorite drones of both synthesized and acoustic sound, in the end with a feeling of noise & dub techno.

Finally, there are thanks for people behind the Ambient Festival itself for making this free and peaceful gathering possible. Always great delight being part of it, let this recording be one of the nice memories reminding this instance.

Connected with music since childhood, when, being 4 years old, he organized his own cassettes collections, ranging from oldschool berlin electronic music, ambient and psychedelic rock to classical music. Allthough he studied piano and sound engineering, his approach to music was for a long time mostly receptive and collecting. He discovered psytrance and it's branches in year 2002 and after occasional visit of smaller parties, he was carried away by OZORA 2010 festival, where he heartily engorged psychedelic culture and it's atmospheres. Then in 2013 he co-founded production/deco crew WizArts, in 2014 and in 2017 became part of Fenix Festival production team.
