Part 5 of a Charity event in Hastings UK I was asked to play something a little different to the norm so I threw together some 1992-1998 Progressive UK House, and tribal beats, some Dutch House and some Uplifting Dutch & UK Trance from the late 90's early 00's...bit of a mish mash...but it worked, they loved it!!

Puretone - Stuck In A Groove 

A brilliant track by Puretone.   This is an ambient breaks remix.   An all time fave right up there with the BT/Hybrid mix of Never Gonna Come Back Down. 

JENETEC made a number of cosmetic changes to the original remix mostly related to arrangement.   Creating a darker dream state.

Olivia Newton John - Let's Get Physical (Sizzahandz Body Talk Remix)

Olivia Newton John Remix - Unknown who put together the original remix.  

The original remix was a considerably more hardcore trance track although it had a dark ambient texture that was hypnotic .     Some sections from the original remix were completely removed.   JENETEC provided a number of edits on the track to develop darker ambient mix.    

Changes to frequencies that were dominating the mix.    (hats, kick, snare)  There was some digital distortion inherent in the track  that was beyond repair.   

Not everyone's cup of tea but a unique track all the same.   Hard to place the genre of the track. 

It would have been great to have the original stems to work with.   As it is, this was a bit of a cosmetic edits with changes to the arrangement  and eq's.   Not much more beyond that from JENETEC.   

A track worth sharing.

Hopelessly Devoted To You - O.N.J (Ambient Tribal Trance)

Dweezil Zappa turning in the best cover of 'Hit Me Baby One More Time'.  And there are plenty of offerings out there.    A completely original take on the pop hit giving it balls of steel. 

The breakdown felt especially brilliant.  So much so, that we decided to start the song with what was originally only in the midsection.   This gave it a bit more breathing room before the onslaught of that supersonic heavy guitar. 

A quick JENETEC edit ... Dweezil gets respect for turning out a wicked track in its own right.   Right up there with Dweezil covering 'Stay'in Alive' with Donny Osmond taking the lead vocals.  Who knew Donny could rock it like that.  (for those of you who might recall who Donny Osmond is.)
