I am a Dutch Indo-European woman living in Amsterdam. I used to sing with Collect Call from Mars, but nowadays i travel solo as JENNIFERwolve, creating a mix of cinematic music, with raw beats, a splash of the eighties, and soul/pop/jazzy vocals. Currently I am writing a new album and sing with the Soundwise Choir of Fluitsma & van Tijn. 

I am also a photographer, videographer and editor at microENVISION. 

Most of all i am a Lupus warrior / Vegan / Nature lover / Practical idealist / Optimist and Critic / Artist  / Lover / Daughter / Sister and Friend.

After years of playing, writing, recording, rewriting, and re-recording, this legendary Amsterdam band is finally presenting their long-awaited third album: Traveler. But it’s worth the wait because, according to them, this record comes the closest to who they truly are.

Since their meeting in an obscure basement bar in Hamburg in 2013, they’ve played as much as possible to convince audiences of their contemporary take on "rootsy garage rock 'n roll." Their first full-length album, titled Twang Wolf Sessions (2013, Undertow Recordings), came out of this, named after the famed studio of their musical friend and producer Hans Hannemann, where the record was recorded.

Their second album, Sweet One (2015, Suburban Records), followed and became a smarter, more mature, and more diverse record, with a sound that at times feels psychedelic, while at other moments takes a turn towards garage or surf.
Since then, they've achieved a lot: a successful tour in England, their music featured in commercials for Ajax and Grolsch, performances in iconic venues like Paradiso and Melkweg, opening for greats like Beth Hart (HMH), a coveted minute on De Wereld Draait Door, and countless shows. From bars and gritty basements to big stages and festivals, they rocked every venue.

Creating a new album became a quest, but ultimately, there was only one place where they wanted to record this new album—at Hans Hannemann's studio Twang Wolf. Together with their new drummer (Klaas Harm Dijkstra), they set out to create an album that musically captures the essence of the band. Once again inspired by American artists like Velvet Underground and Iggy Pop, they also drew more from the music of their own youth in the ’90s. For those of you not yet familiar with the Dutch-New Zealand trio, they play roots driven hypnotic dance. It’s a sound informed by gospel and blues singing and playing fused with ancient folk melodies. Added to that is the rawness of seventies funk, african desert blues, moroccan gnawa, indian raga and a touch of EDM  all played on guitars and drums without using computers or samples. They have been spreading their psychedelic blues-trance rave to the approval of audiences worldwide since 2012, featuring on renowned festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Isle of Wight (UK), Sziget (HU), Fusion (DE), Exit (RS), Lowlands (NL) and Pinkpop (NL).

MY BABY is more than just the band’s name. It’s a title that refers to an allegorical figure, a central character in the band’s musical story. She is in part a phantom muse, a result of the combined imagination of the band members. She’s often described as, ‘a girl in the '70's fantasizing about being a flapper girl and dancer in the '20’s.
