hello im back and im trying to be productive this ECQ, more on feeding my soul with art to maintain a healthy mental state. while looking through my drive, i saw a folder of recordings from probably when i was 18 or 19 years old. that folder had a lot of song covers but i chose this one because it had better quality lol, and i remembered that i wrote a song using this song's chords.

if you listen closely. you can hear the crashing of the waves, daily household chores being done, and the *wheezing* of my almost 15-year-old ukelele. back at mindanao (we lived by the beach), i loved singing facing the waves because my voice gets drowned out so my family won't be bothered.

in the display image, however, is a different beach...and a different family. this was taken april 2019 in puerto galera. they support me and they believe in me when no one did. i am glad to have my dalagitas.

but once upon a time, it was a hot afternoon, i was alone in my apartment, and i sat in silence, crying over this song (yuck emotional shit). i made this cover using my inaanak's uke. a ukelele is such a happy vibrant instrument and sad songs are not the right ones to play it with.  but i just had to make do. the melody sounds conversational so it was easy to sing with tears *hikbi*.
