A relatively obscure & hard to find Jeno classic mix, due to being somewhat overshadowed by the "Jeno - United DJ's of America" CD that came out around the same time, but this is an equally entertaining & energetic blueprint of the mid-90s West Coast sound..

META015 is  a beauty and the beast affair, fantastically executed in the great tradition of Metalheadz.
Kicking off with ‘Hungry For Atmosphere’ this stepper is a perfect set opener, heartfelt strings and keys give way to contorted mids and FXs, whilst the familiar vocal is processed into something altogether more sinister. The track clocks at just over 7 minutes and this says everything of the tracks ambitions, not pandering to anything but its own journey.
Next to step into the ring is ‘A Certain Flavour’ the opposite but yet perfectly paired track to go with the A side. Beginning with a very cinematic introduction it unravels into a growling bass led stepper with staccato drums before switching into a two-step drum work out, tailor made for dancefloors and DJs alike.

A release that we are very happy to kick 2014 off with, welcome to the new breed!

Cosmic Jason (interview & music) in the VOID - March 2014

This is my set from our finale at our favorite venue in San Francisco, Cafe Cocomo. After over a decade of memories at Cocomo, this was the perfect sendoff to the place we've called home for so long. 
This set was right before Metro Area performed an outstanding Live show, and the people that were a part of it easily made this one of the most memorable gigs of my life. Thanks to all the dancers and supporters who have created the legacy of the 'Stompy + Sunset parties at Cocomo'.

A live set from DJ Garth at the infamous SF Come-Unity party in 1994 along with Simon and Jeno. The Come-Unity party was a monthly mid-week party in San Francisco that started in 90's. It was initially on every 1st Tuesday of the month  and then moved to every 1st Wednesday of the month in 1993. The event was a major influence that helped shape the underground house and techno scene in San Francisco that we have known to love today. I would describe it as a grown up rave with around 1000+ in attendance with DJs that played forward thinking creative dance music (nothing commercial). The first time I went to a Come-Unity party (around 1999 at 1015 Folsom) I was blown away. I am happy to share this mix of SF dance music history with you. Enjoy!
