What began as a sound piece created to accompany an alien-themed art exhibit in Philadelphia quickly evolved into something far more expansive before making its debut at the show. “sounds from an otherworldly place” is a sonic odyssey: a story of interstellar exploration and transformation told in five acts across space and time.

On this radical departure from her usual style, Mazy showcases her versatility by pushing the boundaries of her own craft. Experiments in sound design, synthesis, and field recording coalesce into haunting atmospheres and emotionally rich ambient worlds.

What emerges is both cosmic and intimate: a meditation on fear and fascination with the unknown.

This is a lovingly woven psychedelic tapestry of music and sound inspired by sacred ceremonial journeys I have taken over the years. 

It combines other worldly landscapes, planetary frequencies, chakra tones, elemental gestures, vocal explorations, strange harmonics and distortions to induce free form states of consciousness.

This journey contains some very challenging and dark moments that I believe are all part of the road to inner peace.

I've been wanting to collab with Ingvar | 𝗔𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝘄𝗮𝗿 (@agnosturaelwar)  for some time, and I saw this Invitation on a beautiful Playlist he made. Loved the 4 and chose the 3rd to create something.

Remain quite loyal to the original mandolin track, adding some shruti box and synth work on it. Really happy with the drones I managed to build aroud this sounds!
Listening to it makes me feel in the middle of nature, at night, by a fire, gazing at the stars and wondering the origin of all life.
