Over the years we have had the pleasure to develop a friendship with Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation. 

As huge fans of the group, a collaboration to have them play at Robot Heart at Burning Man was always a dream, if an impossible one.

This year at Burning Man, just in time for the inaugural Heart & Soul sessions from Robot Heart and Thievery Corporation's 20th anniversary, we finally had the honor of hosting Thievery Corporation on the Playa.  Three years in the making, the product of serendipity, determination and a lot of team work, here is that amazing, unannounced sunset performance at the Robot Heart camp before an audience of thousands of burners. Thank you Dave Geller, Elliot Dunwoody, Pascal Pharmacon and the 18-person team from Thievery Corporation for helping make our collective dream come true!

Lucas Rossi, dj and producer born in the city of córdoba on May 7, 1988. His interest in electronic music was born around the year 2000 listening to house and trance and then evolve into the genre that now characterizes it is the progressive house, listening to its main referents as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, John Digweed, among others.

Today he is one of the dj's and ascendant producers of the genre in the city since the beginning of his career in 2011 where he has had the possibility of taking his music to cities such as: Buenos Aires, Rosario, La Rioja, Corrientes, Rio Negro , Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Puerto Iguazú, Mendoza, San Juan, Villa Mercedes, Rio Cuarto, among others. Also added to his participation during 3 consecutive years in the largest electronic music festival in the interior of the country "Music in the Desert".

During his career he has shared the stage with great artists of the national and international scene such as Henry Saiz, Fernando Ferreyra, Thomas Gandey, Soundexile, Nick Varon, Jimmy Van M, Martin Garcia, Lonya, Cid Inc, Brian Cid, Sahar Z, Robert Babycz , Cubicolor, Stelios Vassiloudis, Eelke Kleijn, Khen, Chicola, Roy Rosenfeld, Dimitry Molosh, among others. His music has been released on labels such as Black Hole Recordings in the legendary compilation "In Search Of Sunrise", The Soundgarden, Dreamers, Lowbit, Particles, Soundteller, just to name a few.

He is currently part of Fernando Ferreyra's label Dreamers as Label Manager and his work as a producer continues to grow with the support of renowned artists such as Fernando, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn, among others. Lucas also has a radio show called "Different Minds" on the third Wednesday of each month 10 am (Argentina) on Frisky Radio.

My good friend @wulfsohnmusic asked me to play at Javanesia and despite my hectic work schedule at @the-spirit-train I arrived to play at 2pm, I had to at least rock up right? I arrived to a empty dance floor and not a soul in sight. Rewind to that morning...

Tuesday had seen a massive wind storm in Tankwa Town with many people spending most of the morning hanging onto their tents and belongings. We had a moment where we honestly thought we would have to pack up and leave. It truly was a challenging morning with a lot of questions being asked about what we were doing and how!!!  This was the day that would define or break us. Fortunately it defined us and in many ways this set was not about the crowds or the praise but simply about the personal journey that is Afrikaburn. I loved playing this set, and the camp crew that came and shared their good vibes. Thanks to all of you who eventually arrived and filled the dancefloor after such a tumultuous morning <3
