Intr0beatz, a turntablist at heart, started off as the beat producer for Icelandic hip-hop group Forgotten Lores in the late '90s. As time passed by, he transitioned from his early hip-hop roots to explore a fusion of chill-out, deep house, funk, and hip-hop in his 2011 release, "Half Time" on Möller Records. This marked a significant shift in his production style, leading him to delve further into house music, drawing inspiration from the jazz, funk, and soul elements that influenced the golden age of hip-hop.

We proudly present "Roadblock" an EP from the garage maestro himself!

This EP is composed of two incredible old school jungle tracks. 

The first is "Blast Heat!" a tune that leans into the stutters and flickery breaks in jungle that sooth your brain, whilst the bass notes come through hard hitting. 

The second "Rebel to the Grain" is a pure slammer, with a simple first drop that reworks a classic break in a fresh and interesting way, and we'll let the second drop talk for itself, quite literally.

We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. And if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent all these years, it’s the sheer quality of what he delivers. But Caspa’s story runs even deeper. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more.
