Bastard Forever

Wrote this one a long time ago and have been waiting to do it with a new acoustic guitar.  Finally got one for my birthday from my family and I'd like to dedicate this one to them.  Because of them, I am far from lonely, and to my wife, you are my everything, thank you!

Verse 1
I don’t know much, not much of anything at all
I know myself and I know what I see
All by myself, drinking coffee in the rain
In part to wake up, in part to wash away the pain
Every week I sit here, sorting out my thoughts
Watching people, watching me, wondering if they’re living or just letting the days pass by

She irons her dress, brushes her hair but she still feels like a mess
