Chami and OPH are a part-time double act with roots in Lyon and a more recent base in Berlin. Fully integrated in their local scene, the pair have expanded their love of records to furtive raves on the outskirts of town (Minijob). Under the moniker Face 2 Face they play very literally one in front of the other, with a four turntable, two mixer set up, dogged passion and a little faith that kismet will devise whatever sound it may. A mirror framework that cultivates subconscious dialogue between the two and their crowd by extension  Together they proffer a world that’s as stimulating as it is fast-paced; it’s deep, repetitive, ritualistic techno with a magnetic pull that’s hard to deny, at once cerebral and groovy. This twin flame has lit up floors from Paris’ La Station to Tokyo’s Womb, with a Bassiani performance back in October. Here, for a very special Bassiani Podcast 215, the duo band together once more and tell a 90 minute tale that twists and turns in unexpected ways, one that’s every bit the raw and potent sound they’re known for. Formidable techno that’s quick as a flash and doesn’t waste a second messing around.

Somov Records head Ignez is up next with an unmissable techno number that’ll make you sweat. A younger self dropped the stuffy confines of his childhood on the Dutch coast and fled to Berlin as so many do, and there began to cultivate a sound that has placed him firmly among some of his talented and much talked about peers. The DJ/producer credits the seaside upbringing with instilling a deep respect for the rolling tides and endless sands, natural references that are deeply embodied in his hypnotising and immersive rhythms. His occasional return to home turf as resident of Amsterdam-based party series Eerste Communie has also played a significant role in his musical development and found him willing publishers in the likes of Token and SK_eleven, as well as a sparring partner in Berlin heavyweight Rødhåd (with whom he shares two EPs). It’s techno in purest form, bewitching loops that pulsate like those long ago shores. In that sound his ascetic beats are flanked by the most minimal detail and rely on raw percussive might to mesmerise his listener. A dancefloor portal to another world; transcendent stuff for sure. From small club settings to festivals on a larger scale Ignez brings a kind of magic that’s hard to turn a deaf ear to, Bassiani Podcast 220’s proof that he’ll pull those tricks at home too. A hour of virgin, mechanical beats that daze and enthral, a staunch reminder of techno’s visceral power and of why, for so many, it’s such a ruling passion.

Ibiza-based DJ and producer Jeremy Weeks came up on old school house and minimal and for over 20 years has been serving up his distinctive take on groove at clubs around the world.

Based in Ibiza since 2013, he played at some of the most iconic venues on the island such as Space Ibiza, Sankeys, Zoo Project, Heart, Privilege, Pikes, Pacha, DC-10, Akasha or Amnesia.

When in the booth serving up his selections, Jeremy’s spans from Deep grooves to Minimal with his unique sound.
He has been turning out his own tracks on esteemed labels like Vaporized Records, H24 Musique and 07hdumat, Elarum, Brique Rouge, NG Trax, Discotech, Dealer2zik, Picture Perfect Recordings and much more to come.
He is a core part of the underground who never fails to make his mark with the music he plays.
