Swedish beat chef Max I Million is back with a delightful, jazzy, instrumental composition called "The Cook-Off". This smorgasbord of sounds boasts his signature mix of loop-based elements put together on his MPC2000XL and live instruments, as well as household objects such as bottles, pans and glasses. One foot firmly placed in golden era Hip Hop - the other foot somewhere above the clouds, Max takes us on a journey where no maps are necessary. So take out your fork and knife and dig in! Quick jam on the setup in the new apartment after finally getting it all hooked up. Ableton is providing the MIDI to everything but the LXR, which is clocked and running it's own internal sequence. The Meeblips are getting arp data from Live and switching between different arp modes. Virus gets sequenced bass from Ableton.

They sent me samples, I got on a plane to Buffalo NY, made a bunch of loops at cruising altitude, and then jammed it all together into a track after returning home.
