Unexpectedly, and without seeking it, between the years 2015 and 2025 a presence began to show me different warnings for the world.

Creating music and telling these experiences through poetry and song has become a way to heal.
The presence that appeared in the most significant visions —when I asked who it was— answered:

“I am the one you call Archangel Michael.
I come from the ninth dimension.
I am the eyes of God.”


It was just another day of the week.
I sat down to meditate,
only searching for a little calm;
there was no intent to see the future.

(Silence fell... the air shifted.)

A subtle presence stood before me,
and with a sigh, it lifted me to the sky.
From above —I think it was Antarctica—
I saw lava breaking through, melting the snow.

And the ice wept fire.

An unseen force turned me around.
I was over Tierra del Fuego,
watching Argentina’s coastal cities
give way to the rising sea.

The sea kept climbing... and no one awoke.

That same force carried me farther,
I flew above Buenos Aires.
Half the city
lay beneath the waters.

The sirens were silent,
only the water spoke.

Then, the presence pulled me elsewhere —
this time, over the Caribbean.
The whole world was in shadow,
the skies veiled by a thick cloud.

The sun surrendered.
The sky looked away.

From the northeast I saw a meteor coming;
it crossed Europe, passed over Spain,
and struck near Cuba,
raising a colossal wave of fire.

Fireballs hit the shores of Mexico,
and the eastern United States
watched the animals burn.

And the world burned,
not knowing why.

Then I felt their pain,
theirs — I felt it in my chest.
That pain brought me back,
refusing to let me see again.

The presence revealed an apocalypse to me

Twelve days. A dozen tunes. More than a little archive digging...

Merry Christmas, folks. Hope your day is a happy, healthy & warm one. Our final tune in this little exercise is a Springsteen cover from my favorite record of his, Nebraska. I started this recording about 18 months ago, promptly forgot about it, and rediscovered it a few weeks ago while browsing an old hard drive. Maybe I should hide things from myself more often. J. Tom Hnatow ably added some percussion, pedal steel and atmospherics yesterday and, voila, a finished track! 

So many things to love about this tune, but perhaps most endearing is how it feels whipped whole right out of the ether. The story certainly feels biographical, but Perrineville is a fictitious town, Michigan County a fictitious province, and "Night Of The Johnstown Flood" a fictitious song. A novella with depth and nuance in six minutes flat.
