It was the bed of the earth

I filled him with mirrors
Better to see him

I tasted him pliant on my tongue
Better to eat him
He became my sacrament

He said I moved
slow like lava

I bled into his steps
He heard his carrion
Rising out of another dream

FLOODING IN
simply a watershed for a window that never bleeds
only my eyes keep it all from flooding in
the only light seen before me as i begin
to make moonlight echo like sound breaks moving waves

sunshine begins
the day parts and i sing

i never bleed dry
i always am the fool
i won’t hold regret
for the eye that never bleeds

TALL TREES
For without long hallways and tall ceilings there is little
ledge to perch
corridors plenty with windows carving etchings for shadow or light

here my voice carries well
fresh & cool as nightingale calls amidst tall columns of birch
i crave to hear the echo
