Creme Organization's Jericho One label continues to set a fine agenda with its fifth EP, this time from DJ Plant Texture aka Dona Basile, who also releases as Dona and Given. This is only his second EP under this alias, and is one that again marries breakbeats, techno and electro into electrifying new forms. 

Things kick off with 'Maybe Sometimes', three minutes of brutal old school rave. 'Maybe Sometimes (2_3 Psymono Mix)' is then a heavily filtered and stripped back version of the same tune that is brilliantly weird and otherworldly. 'Lello From SDA' then picks up the pace once more with reversed stabs, slamming drums and rubbery bass all cut up with yelping vocals and dusty breaks that take you right back to the early 90s. 

On the flip, 'Gargantuans' is on a deeper and more trippy old school flex with bright pads and gurgling bass taking you higher, then 'Cyclone (Tribute To The 90's)' is just that with its frenzied drums, filters and euphoric breakdowns all run through with Street Fighter samples. 'D_One' then ends the trip with a bit of ambient electronics, with odd sine waves and sharp sound designs placing you in an unhinged world.

Legendary French producer and remixer Domenico Torti, famous for his classic Daft Punk reworks, links up with his idol Afrika Bambaataa for his first 12" under his real name titled 'Radar'. Set for release via Busy P's Ed Banger Records, the track has been given the remix treatment by the always reliable Adesse Versions, who flips the original into an acidic breakbeat roller. It's an infectious anthem with soaring synth lines, piercing acid stabs and a banging breakbeat rhythm. It's impossible not to move to this one! 

'Radar', which also includes remixes by Deena Abdelwahed, Dimitri From Paris and Borussia, is set for release June 28 via Diggers Factory while the wider release arrives in September.

The Jericho One project (also know round the office as Ground Zero) was called into existence to expand the bandwidth of Creme Organization with a different aestethic into a more ominous, techno, breakbeat, bass and dare we say "bigroom" oriented area without diluting the already overcrowded bunks of the Mothership any further. This is not an extension of R-Zone, there is no anonimity, even though there might be an overlap in sounds somewhere. This is no Throwback or Rave revivalism either. We aim to be firmly rooted in the now, with modern and up to date productions. But even then there is no escaping Electronic music's staggering heritage. We don't pretend to be original, instead we live in a world of combinations, re-interpretations ands re- imaginings. And at the risk of offending Extreme Noise Terror: We're only in it for the music.
