The latest offering from the Last Night On Earth label camp comes from British DJ/Producer dubspeeka. Providing us with three spacious cuts that entwine dub-techno inspired sonics with deep, building drum grooves.
 
‘Torn334’ opens, with it’s shimmering analog drum machine hi-hats that contrast one another, the reverberating 808’s against the sharp, 909 sounds that slice straight through. A huge, echoing kick drum drives along with a brooding menace and Dubspeeka works in a dark, off-kilter chord progression over the top.
 
‘Torn392’ reveals more effective drum programming, while combining minimalistic synth bloops and intricate snare fills. The haunting reverbs that coat this driving, late-night cut shell the composition in a sense of thought provoking awe. Subtle melodic passages wind in an out throughout this rich plethora of dubby resonances.  
 
‘Torn434’ offers a driving synth bassline over the noisy ambient of the tape machine, tight tambourine loops and scattered with cavernous dub-techno chords that engross the space with their intricate tones. dubspeeka pauses halfway with a rich breakdown that fills the spectrum with overwhelming white noise only to return to his haunting progressions.

Fred V is heading straight into 2020, taking things above and beyond since his ‘Proximity’ EP with the latest chapter in his solo story, the ‘Distance’ EP. A widely revered soundsmith for futuristic drum & bass euphoria yet this four track EP also unleashes Fred V’s technical prowess for heavyweight club bangers, bittersweet twists and soaring vocal features from Vonné and Chelsea Watts.

Heading up the EP is ‘Away’, a stunning balance of Vonné’s powerful vocal emotion and Fred V’s synth-laded sonics. In a similar fashion comes ‘Shadow,’ setting the scene with smooth melodies from Chelsea Watts, that slip into an energetic ride primed to electrify dancefloors worldwide.

‘Wobbleboard’ showcases Fred V’s ability to colour outside the lines in the form of a subby, off-kilter stepper, sure to rattle rib-cages and test sound-systems to their limits. Fans of Fred V’s liquid euphoria will celebrate ‘Light In The Distance’, gentle atmospheric pads and crisp synth work see the ‘Distance’ EP home, and round off a showcase of the four corners of Fred V’s sound.

During his time as a solo artist, Fred V has seen support from esteemed BBC Radio 1 dance music tastemaker Annie Mac, electronica YouTube behemoth MrSuicideSheep and even US dance music leviathan Diplo. Fred V can be found taking his unique sound to an international scale, with his 2020 tour of Australia and New Zealand, as well as visits to the crystalline coasts of Croatia for Hospitality On The Beach, Liquicity and Hospitality Returns To The Dock in London.

UMEK’s label 1605 presents an EP from French duo Cosmic Boys, who recently featured on the imprint working in collaboration with UMEK himself, but this time they are back with two solo tracks.

Cosmic Boys previous works have been released via tracks and remixes on labels such as Popof’s FORM, Oscar Aguilera’s HE-ART and Richie Hawtin’s Minus.

Quickly rising through the ranks of the world’s techno elite, Cosmic Boys have achieved many top 10 selling tracks on Beatport, and currently their collaboration with UMEK is charted at No.2 in the techno section of the website.

The duo consists of Sebastien Bevil plus Gaby Meynadier, and they have also proven popular DJ’s with several festival bookings across Europe.

“Paranormal” opens the release with a hammering kick drum and tense pads that lay a foundation for the arpeggiating lead synth and sci-fi effects. Swelling with tension, its high-paced energy gives the track a frantic momentum that’s perfect for peak time plays.

Second of the cuts, “We Are The Futrur” is deeper and more stripped back with a building euphoria that engulfs the track. Underpinned by the relentless pounding of the tough percussion and sinister tones of the ominous vocal, this cut is a twisted blend of dark and light textures.

Under Black Helmet released his first epic EP, 5 years ago. Especially one thing from the EP has stayed unforgettable, the track "Mute". It will remain as a very good memory for us, so we decided to work with 4 heroes of the Techno Scene on the Mute track.

Mørbeck aka the sample magician, brought a mystical power mood to the track, by reinventing it through the original samples into a catchy tune.

Remco Beekwilder strength is the raw 90s sound which is always a melodic energy bomb what he reflected perfectly in the Mute track.

Farrago made a minimalistic version of the track. Like a wave, carries away everyone. The perfect set starter!

Vril recreated the track as an analog electrical groove bomb, which made every dance floor burn.

We are so excited and proud to announce this special EP! Code Is Law!
