Mysta Gin (Da Troof of the Game); was born May 4, 1977 in Dallas, Texas. He was raised by his parents and older sister in a hood called Woodtown. It was in Woodtown where he started rapping in 1986.

The encouragement to rap came from his sister. She use to rap as an adolescent, and said he would never be able to. To Mr. Gin that was a challenge, those words open the door to his life long dream and career. Rapping about his life and his pain were the topics that got him started and has kept him going. As a new artist to the world Mysta Gin feels he can add what he says is, "the Best, the Real, and nothing watered down". He has his on style, skills, and swagga; nothing that know-one not close to him has ever heard before.

The topics that interest him the most that he writes about are about life, the gutta, females, and deep songs. Although he is not limited to these topics and can write a new dance or stunting song; these topics are not mainly his steelo. His plans are to go as far as he can. To promote himself he has performed on cable TV, talent show casings, concerts, and have done several videos. He also travels outside of his hometown to promote such as; Houston, Port Arthur, Arkansas, Waco, San Antonio, Oklahoma, and many more.

Mysta Gin has dropped eight mixtapes by himself, not including or limited to the amount of features he has done for other artist. Street Muzikk Vol. 1-5, Street Credits Vol. 1-2, Told You I Was Coming, Back 2 Da Basics, and Back to My Rootz to name a few of his own. As you can see Mysta. Gin is ready for the world. He has a vibe that is undeniable. He has the music that is desirable. He has the mentality to stay focused and to keep all BS out of his path. He would like to leave the world with these words as I quote; "I’m the best thing smoking out of the D, and I feel the music game needs me". ..
