Hood Twins is an American hip hop duo formed in 2004, in Dallas, Texas, composed of Texas-based rappers Wilton "Hood Twin Hot" Simpson (formerly known as Wes) and Dekembe "Hood Twin Cutta" Palmer. Hood Twin Hot and Hood Twin Cutta met at the age of five in the same neighborhood Arlington Park, where it all started. Hood Twin Cutta was born in Alabama and moved to Dallas at the age of one. When he was three years old his Mother and Father divorced, leaving him in a single parent home. At the age of 14 he turned to the streets and started doing music. Hood Twin Cutta is the youngest out of three siblings and has three children. Hood Twin Hot also grew up in a single parent home, father deceased at the age of two. He is the youngest out of two siblings, one deceased and has two children. In the year 2000 Hood Twin Hot started rapping in the neighborhood label called Got Dat Productions and recorded his first song. Hood Twin later turned to the streets to provide for his family. The duo formed “Hood Twins” from growing up in the same “Hood” (Arlington Park), living and sharing the same interest. After both members were kicked out of College at the age of 19 they decided to focus more on their music and became signed to Self Made Records in 2010. The duo then released “La Familia” mixtape in 2011 with Self Made Records. In 2012 the duo decided to start their own label Small Hood Eat Big and released their first independent mixtape “Cross Dem Tracks”. Over the years they have released hot singles such as “How can I”, “Overdose” and “Hard Body”. The duo continues to perfect their craft and work on new music.
