Bari house don Rhythm Of Paradise has been upholding the Italo house tradition over a run of superlative releases for the likes of Cosmic Rhythm, Chiwax and Kalahari Oyster Cult, and now he returns to Smallville for more of that quintessential deep-diving gear. His sound is right at home on Hamburg's finest house label, with 'In My Face' revelling in subdued, blue-hued pad tones while 'Love Me Tonite' rides mellow chords on delightfully dusty beats. Nu Cleo is on hand with a sprightly remix of 'Deepside' before the record closes out with the celestial acid fantasy of 'Solaris'.

Ed Temple, just featured in DJ Mag as “one of eight emerging artist you need to hear”. They also said this about Pink Velvet “There’s a rich musicality to Ed Temple’s new EP that’s hard to find in today’s download charts. The title track could almost pass for a lost Metro Area tune that’s put considerably more meat on its bones, its buttery strings giving high-disco realness”.If that doesn’t at the very least slightly tickle your interest to flick through the whole release, I’m not sure what will... Australian-based artist Ed Temple releases yet another magical blend of live disco vibes with modern house production. If his last release “Who You Are” was for your late-night affairs, then this release “Pink Velvet” is the Ying to its Yang and is very much for your daytime delights.

Featuring a full string and brass section across the EP, along with other live instruments bringing the record to life and as always heavily laden with classic drum machines and synthesizers from Ed’s hardware filled studio, laying down the groove and vibes.

Inkswel jumps on REMIX duties this time, with guest vocalists LYMA and Elf Tranzporter. While Luke Million sprinkles his HiFi disco dust across the final mix down of the EP.

Track Info:
The title track, Pink Velvet is as smooth as velvet and as playful as pink. Featuring a full string and horn section in the choruses. Harking back to the glory age of musical sounds heard at iconic places like Paradise Garage and The Loft, but with modern production and arp synth lines and solos filling verses. 
 
A2 Don’t Wait was a “note to self”. Life’s short, do the thing, do the thing now. Funnily enough the track is kinda the opposite, it meanders, it noodles, it’s a journey, until… the choruses, then it doesn’t wait, it drops, it happens, just like life!!
 
Flipping over to the B side, On My Mind is a love song, a ballad if you will. This dubbed out, solo ridden number explores existential themes like life, love, thought and spring reverb… all things fundamental to human existence.
 
And rounding out the EP, really giving you something for every occasion - B2 features Inkswel’s masterful REMIX/reinterpretation of On My Mind featuring two new vocalists LYMA bringing that sultry magic he is becoming renowned for and Elf Trazporter laying down the absolute heat. It’s broken beat in feel and party in nature.
