The Blapps posse were a massive influence on me and many others and i constantly play their music on my weekly shows and out at parties and raves.. Not everyone is aware of their outstanding contribution to the scene, beginning in 1988 and still current now.. I speak to Aston 'Hastey' Harvey and 'Jazzy' Jason Carter who were both core members and also have shit loads of wicked music under other names... Epitome Of Hype, Dynamic Guvnors, The Freestylers, London Funk Allstars, Mad Doctor X, DJ Rap & Aston, Outrage and more..

Intelligent Drum and Bass 36 (1996-2023) - Mixed By Gary Scott - 23rd September 2023

This edition of Attenuation Radio was an ALL Green Bay Wax special (including sub labels Lucky Muffin and The Magic 3) which is one of my all time favorite Jungle labels.  In my opinion, GBW is partially responsible (along with a handful of other labels) for the increased popularity and resurgence of the current state of Jungle in the last 10 years.  I started this session off with vinyl and some Lucky Muffin releases.  Later, I played a few off of the GBW Black Label (where all artists and titles are listed as "unknown") as well as a bunch of misc digital releases and the digital releases you ONLY received if you bought the vinyl with the original first 5 GBW plates and the first Lucky Muffin 12" .  This edition is a little heavy on the Kid Lib and ragga influence so next time I'll have to include more Darkman, Equinox, Phineus II, Dwarde, and Mr. Sensi. Maybe it will be strictly vinyl. Not sure yet. Part two definitely coming soon.  Big up all the supporters and listeners.
