The dream began with but a mere road sign pointing to the M1 motorway enroute for the highly anticipated Gatecrasher Reunion. Gatecrasher had been absent in Sheffield for just under a decade, ever since the tragic demise of the Republic (often referred to as Gatecrasher's spiritual home) burnt down in July 2007.  

The Reunion was such a significant step forward for Gatecrasher as a brand and its loyal fanbase. Everything had to be executed to perfection and not only would the lion roar once again, stronger than ever but also it would lay the foundations for future. Careful time and planning had gone into bringing the ultimate lineup and satisfying the hunger for the most cutting edge Trance!

Attendance for the Gatecrasher REBOOTED Arena was in full force with a plethora of the biggest movers and shakers for 2016 from the likes of Solarstone, Jordan Suckley, Indecent Noise, Factor B's UK Debut, Neptune Project, Danny Stubbs and of course, myself. Overall it was a truly amazing night with crowd, music and production being off the scale! My set consisted of numerous exclusives and one of them was specifically reworked with the Gatecrasher Reunion in mind. Coast 2 Coast - Home was always one of my personal favourites and what a tune to signify Gatecrasher's long awaited return to Sheffield.

Jerome Isma-ae combines the behind-the-curtain knowledge of a music producer, with the familiarity and deep knowledge of a dance floor you would expect from a DJ. Broad in his influences, and a visionary in his approach, you’ll always catch a hint of progressiveness in his sound. Jerome has been surrounded by music since his early years, with musical education in elementary school, learning the piano and later the guitar. At 12, Jerome was already playing the bass guitar in a heavy metal band, but it wasn’t until 14 that he started making his own beats with a drum machine.
Having dabbled in many dance music subgenres, you will catch glimpses of Techno, Trance, and Progressive House in his productions. A mean and heavy rhythm section is contrasted against haunting harmonies and counter melodies, and complimented by ambient and textural layers that add a new dimension to the final product. This formula is applied with top-notch clarity and a meticulous attention to detail to such an extent that the sound of his drums has become both recognizable and memorable.
