Next up for our IWD2022 mix series is the mysterious and inspiring Kavari.

There is not a huge amount out there about @kavarimusic but the Liverpool-born Aberdeen-based artist highly impressed with her debut on Scottish label Meld, which infused elements of noise, idm and hardcore to form an aggressive display of electronica. 

Expect the same vibe for her IWD2022 mix, which delves into the realms of experimental electronics, hardcore, jungle and beyond.

Born in Russia and currently based in Argentina, Sergey Kolesov (@astrosuka) is a musical producer and performer working with several projects within local experimental and dance music scenes. He is one of the founding members, current label manager, visual artist and sound production assistant of the Buenos Aires experimental arts platform @TRRUENO.

His performances are mostly live electronic improvisations based on vocal gestures as virtual instrument control and pad operated electronic percussion. Among Kolesov’s collaborative projects are improvisation acts la_muerte, Columnas de Humo and Огромная родина.

This release is a musical production exploration based on a chaotic blend of dance music rhythmic resources, heavy vocal processing, language disfiguration and sound design.

You all remember 'Teachers' by Daft Punk, right? 

Sure you do, they paid homage to the acts that changed the game musically. A lot more music has been released since then and that's where Mumdance & Logos come in.

Source Direct, DJ Die, Fabio & Grooverider, Surgeon and James Ruskin are just a few of the artists that get a shout out in their homage to the original banger.

This version is a gnarly, electro excursion and appears as part of Mumdance's amazing, upcoming 'Shared Meanings' compilation which drops on November 23.

There's also a release party at Oval Space on the same day featuring Speedy J, Doc Scott b2b DJ Storm, Dopplereffekt (live), Lee Gamble and of course, Mumdance & Logos.
