Been inspired by Om Unit for absolute years — so it’s a real honour to get the call-up for Acid Dub Versions III.

Om Unit presents Acid Dub Versions III, the third set of remixes of material taken from all three volumes of his legendary Acid Dub Studies album trilogy. The album celebrates the legacy of the acid dub project with a high-caliber set of remixes. These include such prolific luminaries as Daniel Avery, Satoshi Tomiie, Richard Fearless (Death in Vegas), Tadd Mullinix (as Dabrye/Ghostly International) and Tilliander (TM404/Mokira/Kontra-music).

Portland-based dub generals Alter Echo and E3 (of BSI Records and ZamZam Sounds fame) and UK dance pioneer Bok Bok (Night Slugs) join forces with newer faces like Beatrice M (Tectonic/Tempa), Dubrunner (Menace), Azu Tiwaline (Livity Sound), N1_Sound (Spiritual World), Krotone (Of Paradise/Challenger Deep), Piezo (Subaltern/Hundebiss), RS Tangent (Trilogy Tapes) and lowkey noise/techno/ambient polymath Misseterspoon (Avon Terror Corps).

Album Commentary: Resilience
Following the epic voyage initiated in Voices carry through history, the artist continues their journey with Resilience—an album that traverses the landscapes of history, reincarnation, and our shared human memory. Within this passage, we seek to uncover the essence of resilience—the capacity to endure, adapt, and transform through adversity.
The album opens with tracks like “Caracole” and “Plexus,” which move fluidly through tangled memories and shifting conditions, evoking a sense of graceful navigation through complexity. From there, the journey deepens into the search for enigmatic presences (“JOKER”) and the emotional core (“Kernel”) that anchors our inner world.
Midway through, the theme of Negative Capability emerges—a concept introduced by poet John Keats, describing the ability to remain in uncertainties, mysteries, and doubts without the irritable reaching after fact and reason. Through this lens, the album explores what it truly means to be strong—not through control, but through surrender to ambiguity.
The contrast between sanctuary (“Hestia”) and its shadow (“Hestia dark side”) reveals the duality of refuge and vulnerability. The “Mail carrier” acts as a bridge, connecting messages and memories across time, leading us toward the album’s central revelation: Resilience.
Finally, we arrive at “Cradle”—not merely a place of rest, but a symbolic convergence of beginning and end. It is the quiet, powerful space that awaits beyond acceptance and transcendence, where all contradictions dissolve.
These twelve tracks form a mythic arc—a sonic journey that invites listeners to reflect on the past, embrace the unknown, and awaken their own inner resilience.

『Voices carry through history』で始まった壮大な旅路に続き、アーティストは『Resilience』で旅を続ける。このアルバムは、歴史、輪廻転生、そして人類共通の記憶という風景を横断する。この旅路の中で、私たちはレジリエンスの本質、すなわち逆境に耐え、適応し、変容する能力を明らかにしようとする。
アルバムは「Caracole」や「Plexus」といった曲で幕を開ける。これらの曲は、絡み合った記憶や移り変わる状況を流れるように描き、複雑な世界を優雅に航海する感覚を呼び起こす。そこから、旅は謎めいた存在（「JOKER」）と、私たちの内なる世界を繋ぐ感情の核（「Kernel」）の探求へと深まっていく。
アルバムの中盤では、詩人ジョン・キーツが提唱した「ネガティブ・ケイパビリティ」というテーマが浮かび上がる。これは、事実や理性を追い求める苛立ちに駆られることなく、不確実性、謎、疑念の中に留まる能力を表現している。このレンズを通して、このアルバムは真の強さとは何かを探求しています。それは、コントロールすることではなく、曖昧さに身を委ねることです。
聖域（「ヘスティア」）とその影（「ヘスティア・ダークサイド」）の対比は、安息と脆さという二面性を浮き彫りにします。「郵便配達人」は橋渡し役となり、時を超えてメッセージと記憶を繋ぎ、アルバムの核となる啓示である「レジリエンス（回復力）」へと私たちを導きます。
そして「ゆりかご」へと辿り着きます。それは単なる安息の場ではなく、始まりと終わりが象徴的に収束する場所です。そこは、受容と超越の先にある、あらゆる矛盾が溶け合う静かで力強い空間です。
これら12曲は神話的な弧を描き、リスナーを過去を振り返り、未知を受け入れ、そして内なるレジリエンス（回復力）を目覚めさせる音の旅へと誘います。 

Negative Capability

“寧為玉碎不為瓦全” 

WA?STE is the moniker of Felix Idle--producer, artist & Valley Spirit Recordings label head, based out of Melbourne, Australia. He makes music that characterizes both the curiosity and content fatigue stemming from long hours online. He rips the euphoric guts from trance, gabba & other hard dance genres, re-integrating it into slower but no less ambitious instrumentals. This aggressive eclecticism forms a bed for his saccharine vocal melodies & gently blurred-out lyricism. He has supported M.E.S.H., Air Max 97, Lone, Holly Herndon and Eternal Dragonz' V Kim, as well as having collaborated with Mya Gomez and Ptwiggs on newer productions. 

Hollow Vessel is his first release under this current moniker. The title refers to the feeling of being an observer to events in one's own life, of acquiescing to fate.

While our friends lay within uncertainty’s keep, we can have no rest. We run in our sleep, minds and hearts racing towards those dragged away from us. We wake up to anxious calls from faraway detention centers, garbled and cut short. We can't forget what it felt like to see them free, their beautiful faces cutting through the fog and crowd on the dancefloor. 

It's been a hard two weeks for us all. Thank you to those who have supported our efforts in freeing our friends so far -- words simply aren't enough. We present to you this compilation as an entreaty, pledge, and salve. All proceeds will go towards legal aid for our friends currently held under threat of deportation. We are preparing these funds and ourselves for a long, arduous fight. May this music also uplift you during these dark times -- we know everyone could use a bit of healing right now.
