This project began at the site of my body's deepest craving to fully embody and liberate rage. It continued to evolve at my ancestral altar as I learned to decode messages of past and present. This EP is a translation of body prayer to song; a tool used to give breath to calls hidden and laid dormant in the narrative of my ancestral past. Each track acts as a candle lit to honor different visions descended from dream, prayer, and movement-induced catharsis. It is an offering to my people and to them I am forever grateful.

I made the original version of this one years ago, I think around 2013. At the time I was listening to a lot of Underground Construction, earlier gabber, and other obnoxious, barbarian music. I guess this was an attempt to make some hard house. A demo got passed around to a few friends, some seeming to like it (not sure why, it sucked!). Back then it was all drums, just a little mixing tool. It had the WORST kick ever, like a fucking wet paper towel hitting a cardboard box. The snare rolls came from a really dodgy, low-bitrate 4shared reggaeton sample pack, which I used for most of my early tracks. I added a vocal sample, a much better kick, and a few other sounds, but left it pretty stripped down for its original purpose.
