A-Mac Bio

Aaron “A-Mac” McLeod - caught the acid house bug in Canberra, Australia in a small club called heaven in the early 90’s and has been hooked ever since. Sydney DJ’s Sugar Ray and Phil Smart were local DJ hero’s and the impact of a couple of pioneers called Sasha and John Digweed on their first Northern Exposure tour in 97 was truly a musical life changing experience. After tours of duty in London from the late 90’s and through to the early 00’s, A Mac returned to Sydney with a truck load of vinyl and a love for all things progressive.
His sets are a mix of deep progressive grooves with a killer combination of rhythms and synths for the headphones, combined with baselines and percussion for the dance floor. In his 7th year of a global residency on his Southern Aurora show – star gazing never sounded so good :)

Producer, co-creator of the From disco to disko label and the Ballà Boum Festival, if Valerj had chosen to buy a guitar at the age of fifteen, the story would certainly have been different. But as we enter the 2000s, as club culture has finished flooding Europe's biggest cities, turntables have become a dream, even in Corsica. To use these turntables, you need records. When he can't find them at the only retailer in the region of Bastia, his home town, he orders them (or steals them in dubious mp3 versions) on the web.
It is precisely this tool, the Internet, that shakes up their certainties at the dawn of their twenties. Myspace, Reason, the Fluokids... the Mediterranean fades away, the festival Calvi on the rocks explodes, nothing will ever be like before. He scoured these island festivals, as a partygoer, as an artist. Over the years, his cross-disciplinary tastes have asserted themselves.
In 2017, the monthly From disco to disko evenings were born, leading to the creation of an eponymous label in early 2019.
Italo, dark disco, electronica, Valerj likes uninhibited party sets, built to last. Whether it's an elegant warm-up or a late-night "plasticage", it's hard to know which way to dance with him.

When I think of James Winter I think of feel good house music and moving my feet – these are the two essentual elements I am aiming for with this new project called „Abby Jane meets...“ hence why having James launching the Podcast series is a perfect fit and absolute win! 
James first started to develop a big passion for house music in 2008. With 10 years in the game and 8 years of working on his own productions he had several releases over the last years on labels such as Safe Music, DJ w!lds Catwash records, Witty tunes and a forthcoming release on Romainian label Conceptual Records.

He certainly is one of the special producers and Djs I came across, he combines an atmospheric deep sound with a hint of UK garage and keeps it minimal and clean in his productions. A true inspiration! 
Coming from the electro scene back in the day and being influenced by people like Erol Alkan, Brodinski and Kerri Chandler he now finds himself more in the music of Rhadow, Janeret, Diego Krause & the Beste Modus crew. Also his friend Dave Garfit, also known as Niko Maxen, has played a special role in his musical journey. Exclusive Active Child 'Johnny Belinda (MDK Remix)'

Active Child's tune 'Johnny Belinda' gets the remix treatment from Dutch electronic music legend Matthew Dekay The producer has been responsible for one of Innervisions' biggest hits, 'Lost In A Moment', and also produced the groundbreaking EP 'Amity' including the summer hit 'Fangtango' on Maeve. With his remix for Active Child's track 'Johnny Belinda' Dekay once again proves his ability to turn an original track into his own piece of work. Melodic melancholic synth chords shape the body of MDK's remix approach and are set with a reserved bass line that fully unfolds its punch as the remix proceeds. But it certainly is the vocal that puts its mark on the track and Dekay manages to make the interaction between the vocals and soundscapes sound so easy. 

Active Child's EP 'Johnny Belinda Remixes' will be released April 30th, 2018 on Subtract Music.

Spencer Brown plays a livestream extended sunset set on a San Francisco rooftop as a fundraiser for a fan, Greg Cohen, who passed away from cancer.  Sadly, Spencer's show in Washington DC ended up being the last show of Greg's life. Spencer raised money and donated half to  Sarcoma Foundation charity and half to Greg’s wife and newborn twins.

Hybrid Trap Best Of 2020 Mix

Hey everyone, i wasn't sure that i was going to be doing one of these this year.I honestly just didn't feel like it up until a few days ago, until i opened Ableton and decided to give it a go. Usually i have a tracklist running for several months before i finish this mix, but this year i decided to take a different approach by just mixing it randomly (its 2020 after all planning is pointless).
