The Jersey Royale is an established musical force in the underground NYC/NJ music scene, combining funk/reggae/hip-hop with a twist of rock, to refresh the listeners ears and soul. 

Similar in sound to a mix of 311, SOJA,The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Roots, The Jersey Royale is definitly a band you can dance and party to. 

TJR (as they are affectionately known) is in the business of turning a show into a party for all those in attendance. Whether you come to dance or just listen, TJR has the right mixture of groove and passion that keeps people coming back again and again. TJR doesn't just get the people out; we get them going! 

Frontman Jay Jersey writes thought provoking and heart wrenching lyrics that form that base for much of TJR's music. The band consisting of childhood friends Peter McCourt, Powell Mark and Brian Dephillis has evolved over the years to echo the heartfelt sentiment that Mr. Jersey conveys. 

The Jersey Royale is gearing up to release their first album "Thankful" in the spring of 2012 and since 2006 have been playing shows like madmen, hitting up the hippest tri-state/northeast venues.
