D&T weekender 2024 set 2

Here is my late night closing set for one of my favorite  events of the year the 2023 Interfusion Festival.  This set is very heavy on the throwback R&B vibes and flow is meant to be great for a cold or hot night whatever moves you.  I hope that you enjoy it. Seeking to add contrast both within and between sets, I wanted to take this set to play in spaces I haven't been in much of late. Inspired by and building to the eponymous "golden hour".

Golden Hour

The first quarter of my set from Shangri-La, a home and community that hosts gatherings including a monthly Brazilian Zouk social organized by Andrea Erhart. Originally recorded as one marathon 4 hour set, cut into 4 pieces for distribution.

Chapters: Alt / Trap / Moombahton opener > light R&B / Afrobeat > chill Alternative > punchy electronic > spacey.

DJ Nerds: At this point, I've been mixing between pre-recorded blocks for a little over an hour, mostly serving as background music while waiting for the party to reach critical mass. To transition into live DJing, I wanted a dramatic and energetic block to feel different and capture attention before playing with small waves and genre changes to begin to tap into the room.
