Jahdan Blakkamoore teams up with Kabaka Pyramid on this roots reggae banger. For the Children is a positive reggae anthem encouraging the ghetto youths to rise up and take a stand while charging them with the responsibility for self-reliance and awareness. Shot on location in California last Summer while both artists were performing at The NW World Reggae festival and Reggae on the River. 

The track produced by Zion I Kings (Pressure, Midnite, Snoop Lion) features reggae great Style Scott (Dub Syndicate, Roots Radics, Isreal Vibration) on drums and infuses elements of dubstep and hip-hop, making it fresh and current while remaining undeniably roots reggae. The riddim was tracked at legendary Jamaican Studio of Bob Marley fame, Tuff Gong Recording, in Kingston, JA.

 Today June 2nd is the official release of reggae/dancehall recording artiste Keida's debut EP Ebb and Flow. The compilation is available on iTunes. The fitting title Ebb and Flow is symbolic of the rhythms of life, a seven
track compilation which embodies the essence of growth and change as inevitable outcomes of the ups and downs ... the coming and goings of life. “Ebb and Flow" is an EP for the youths that I interact with daily ,
both in my family and in yours”. A graduated level of lyrical content is notable throughout the Ep's track compilation introducing the audience to a more conscious side of the artist they may not have seen in her earlier work.
  Opening with her Rory Stonelove produced hit "Ganja Tea", Keida invites
people to use their “meds” and their in a positive way. Ganja Tea, the
classic roots reggae record is followed by "Mad World" the soulful and inspirational piece produced by Royal
Order Music. It urges us to take more responsibility for the realities of the world and be more proactive our contributions; highlighting that there are too many people
who are displeased with the way the society is running for us not to make a
conscious step for a positive change in this mad world. On her U.I.M Records
produced single entitled "One Love", Keida helps her listeners to realize
the importance of one pure love as the nucleus which will stimulate a
positive chain reaction in our consciousness and our interpersonal
relations. "One Love" is introduced by the Great Russell Bell, Math genius
and youth empowerment advocate whose wise words have helped shape the lives
of many. "Russell Bell was the first to call me Keida Rankin, way before music entered my reality. He empowered me by encouraging me to embrace my visual way of thinking and that's something I apply in all areas of my life." The blazing, amped up dancehall track “Hot Ash", also produced by
U.I.M, showcases her versatility and highlights a hard edged up-tempo sound.
On the follow up track "M-16" produced byNatural High Music, Keida
deliberately reaches out to youths who are faced with the difficult choice
between destitution and crime as a means of survival. With the soothing melodies of Chalice's veteran musician Wayne Armond on back up vocals Keida has once again made a full circle back to her roots and the music she was introduced to by her father as a child. She closes out the
track by paying respect to the late Nicodemus, one of dancehall's greats
with her rendition of one of his famous verses. On her final song "Stand For
Something" produced by Royal Order Music, she is “telling every youth mi see
that the only sure way for growth is to stand for something”. The EP closes out with a dub
version of "Stand for Something" produced by Suns of Dub which includes Ras
Jammy, Jah Bami, and Addis Pablo (son of the late GreatAugustus Pablo).
 
  Stand for something or you gonna fall for anything. Rise up and wise up.
Keida and her team Great Whyte Entertainment have worked to ensure that Ebb
and Flow is sending a message that encourages all people to hold on to a
different way of thinking, to engage in positive actions and to take an
active part in shaping a new consciousness.

When Jesse Royal was only a cub, the Lord revealed to his mother that she would have to release one of her sons to the world, proclaiming “he will be a psalmist, declaring righteousness and justice throughout creation.” As Jesse matured into a young lion, his mother observed in him a strong sense of integrity and a natural ability to positively affect those around him. But, it was his deep spirituality, passion for life and unique connection to music that would convince her that he was being molded to be used by the Creator. 

Jesse David Leroi Grey, aka Jesse Royal, was born April 29, 1989. He enjoyed his early years in the hills of Maroon Town and the District of Orange in St. James before moving in the late 90’s with his mother and brother to join his father in Kingston. As fate would have it, Royal developed a special relationship with Daniel ‘Bambaata’ Marley (son of Ziggy Marley) at school. His friendship with Daniel proved to be fuel to the fire as they shared a deep passion for music and football. Their friendship evolved as they spent a great part of their childhood together. Soon the natural inclination confirmed they were simply brothers with different mothers. As these cubs became lions so grew their devotion to music. With the help of longtime friend Curt ‘Qban’ White they began composing and creating their own music. And together they proceeded to fulfill what they knew was a predestined musical journey, designed to inspire, engage and unite people beyond all geographic borders. 

After Jesse returned home from schooling abroad, he reestablished a relationship with high school friend and young producer Kareem ‘Remus’ Burrell (son of Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell). They began creating and composing music together also, which developed into a Movement as they shared similar views on the social state of Jamaica. 

Blessed with a voice that captures the pain and hunger of a ‘downtrodden’ people; Royal’s militant character and profound lyricism caught the heart of heralded reggae producer, Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell. Fatis Burrell, affectionately called ‘Father’ had a great and pure impact on the ‘old soul’ of Jesse; as he credits him as an invaluable inspiration and one of the most influential individuals that he has ever encountered.

Working with musicians such as Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Donald Dennis, Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith and Monty Savory; Jesse is currently in the studio putting the final touches on his debut album with producer Kareem Burrell of the XTM.Nation. Jesse Royal has released three mixtapes , Misheni, In Comes The Small Axe and Royally Speaking with Major Lazer. His Debut Album "Lily of The Valley" is now available on all digital platforms.
