El sonido Graveton tiene su origen a finales de 2010 en los estudios caseros de djs y productores de países de todo el mundo. Producciones analógicas o digitales de baja calidad pero con mucho ingenio a la hora de usar los ritmos de la cumbia y el reggaeton para procesarlos con samples del folclore andino, colombiano y mexicano. Con los años y los avances tecnológicos las producciones iban adquiriendo mayor calidad en cuanto a sonido y a contenido artístico. Aunque siempre hay excepciones, los más radicales y ortodoxos que aún conservan la manera primigenia de producir y ejecutar piezas de graveton. Es lo que se conoce como graveton lofi o graveton casero.

En la actualidad decenas de artistas siguen produciendo graveton en sus estudios, centenares de djs lanzan tracks de graveton en cientos de clubs de todo el mundo y miles de personas bailan graveton cada semana en las pistas de baile de diferentes clubs, fiestas locales o cualquier tipo de evento con carácter festivo o cultural.
Etimológicamente graveton proviene del sonido de frecuencia baja o grave, en inglés bass, y el sufijo ton del mismo sufijo que en reggaeton. Al ser producto de una mala producción el prefijo grave señala ese carácter desafortunado de la obra.
Desambiguación. Graveton (Creative Commons - 2011) También es el nombre de la primera referencia de la disquera online Caballito Netlabel y está dio lugar a posteriores entregas, Graveton II (Creative Commons - 2012), Graveton 3 (Creative Commons - 2012) y Graveton IV (Creative Commons - 2015)

El Graveton IV contiene 38 tracks llegados de todas partes del mundo. Nombres ya conocidos, otros no tanto y nuevos descubrimientos gracias a internet que siempre provee.

Incluye BONUS TRACK Bigote feat Funko - Kumbia Borroka (2011), en un edit 2015 de Bigote. Kumbia Borroka fue la primera canción de graveton de la historia, de la cual se extrae la frase “Caballito is too much porn”

I made this track a few years ago at our house/venue Bay Area 51 in San Francisco, where my studio bordered our backyard and the best thing in the world was to jam some uplifting but slighty melancholy tracks and soak in some afternoon sun.  This track is a direct product of those times, so i decided share it outside of an official release and perhaps it will find a place in your summertime.  Hope you enjoy >
