Parisian artist Assalm is back with his second album, “Slay”. Ten brand new original tracks blending elements of Electronica, Techno and dark Electro with the characteristic deep and atmospheric sound the French artist established in his debut album “Rivera”. While his debut though followed a more playful approach by even adding elements of Trap into the mix, Assalm’s sophomore album takes a more minimal and stripped down direction. The LP opener “Midnight” will immediately catch the listener’s attention with its atmosphere before the heavy hitters “Oblast” and “Valkyrie” kick in to get the blood pumping and set the mood for the rest of “Slay”. This is definitely Assalm’s most mature and complete outing to date but then again that’s probably only going to last until his next release. Either way, enjoy!

With a signature sound of deep, down tempo composition, coupled with punchy kicks & upfront basslines - Prime follows on from a host of previous works including the recent 'Brave New World' EP - released on AutoKratz's revered UK label Bad Life. Picking up support from the likes of Digitalism, A-Trak, Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, The Hacker, The Toxic Avenger, Maelstrom, Make The Girl Dance, Designer Drugs & many more - fast forward to the present & Corvad now presents his long player on global promo.
A diverse and eclectic collection of avant-garde tracks, Corvad doesn't stick to a particular style & the LP is a clear testament to that. With an underlining interest in dystopia & fascination of works including Clockwork Orange, Fahrenheit 451 amongst others, elements of this clearly carry over into Prime & the album manages to convey feelings of a musical novel, with it's dark, deep elements & sense of mystery.
Prime takes stock of two years of studio output & from the opening cut 'Tesla', through to 'Fame' with the vocalist Lady N - across the thirteen tracks Corvad displays his ability to traverse seamlessly across an array of musical soundscapes & with it - deliver an LP with a dynamic & forward thinking approach.

Following the deep, dark and otherworldly debut LP 'Rivera' in late 2016 and the follow-up album 'Slay' (2018), Parisian dark electro producer Assalm returns on JST with his third outing.

'Mindset 2084' builds on the same dark, futuristic, cyberpunk techno aesthetics and elements we heard on Assalm's first two albums with the hypnotic rhythms and intense dark atmosphere setting up the mood for what's to follow in the Parisian's new EP right from the opening seconds.

If you can imagine losing yourself in a dark lit dancefloor of a dystopian future rave, then you should definitely give Assalm's 'Mindset 2084' a listening chance...
