What is there left to be said about M.A.D.E.S really that wasn't said with his debut LP "Motor" (2018)?

Named among the Top 10 Synthwave albums of 2018 from numerous critics/bloggers and fans alike, the Frenchman set the quality bar very high for himself.

Luckily, as his new track "Replicants" taken from his forthcoming second album "Arrival" (2020) shows, not only is he able to deliver the goods once more with a worthy follow up to "Motor" but he might have even surpassed his debut outing with another example of what modern Synthwave could sound like.

I originally produced this track in 2014 for eMTykeys and Annaverse (https://soundcloud.com/annaverse-133597990). Even back then, I knew I wanted to make a remix of it. It took a few years, but in 2025 I finally finished producing the remix. I'm a big fan of Annaverse's voice. But It's interesting how the remix instrumental works without the vocals!

Belgian composer and producer Stieglitz debuts on JST with his first long play album 'For The Love Of The Living Dead'.

Coming from a Metal background and having played in a few bands already, his first Synthwave EP 'Future Summer In A Distant Past' (2017) was an ode to '80s inspired movies and videogames. Later that same year a second EP titled 'Blood Will Have Blood' followed, telling a supernatural story drenched in blood and vengeance. Fitting the theme, Stieglitz' music also became darker and grittier.

Building upon the foundations and standards he set with his early work, his first long play 'For The Love Of the Living Dead' sees Stieglitz bringing together influences that range from melodic Synthwave and aggressive Darksynth to Funk and Metal. A perfect example of the Belgian artist's musical evolution and proof that Stieglitz is equally comfortable creating horror-y soundscapes, Synth Metal bangers or catchy and groovy Synthwave with Nu Disco influences.

Russia based artist Corrupted Machines (born Albert Elster) debuts on JST with 'Nocturnal' and what an impressive first outing this turned out to be too!

Mature writing, well balanced moods, attention to detail and good production are some of the characteristics that immediately stand out from 'Nocturnal'. With seven original tracks which move between Synthwave, Hard Rock/Metal and Cyberpunk and a surprise Robocop remake (available as exclusive bonus track on Bandcamp only), Corrupted Machines is setting the bar high with his debut and we're definitely excited for 'Nocturnal' as well as for what the future holds for this new and very talented artist.

'You cannot hide from yourself, even in the darkest alleys of a huge metropolis. You are the outcast of a generation but you can try to become someone else. Under the covers of the night, everyone becomes equal' he explains when asked what the inspiration that drove him to write this album was. And boy, oh boy isn't he right?

Following a somewhat quiet 2019, French Darksynth/Synthwave maestro M.A.D.E.S is finally back with a new album!

'Arrival', which has been in the making for more than a year, is the next chapter in M.A.D.E.S' retro-futuristic saga. Eleven new original tracks moving between Darksynth, Outrun and classic melodic Synthwave. Power, suspense, speed, atmosphere and imagination are some of the words that come to mind immediately when thinking of 'Arrival', which proves to be not only a worthy successor and follow up album to his debut 'Motor' but also that Synthwave is still alive and kicking, with artists who still compose and produce great albums and music if you know where to find them.

And having talked about imagination and despite not having a follow up video to the massively successful 'Nightkiller' (which would have been almost impossible to produce during the covid era), we decided to team with master horror illustrator Anthony Galatis who visualized the music and transformed 'Arrival' into a visual masterpiece. Another French producer whose style and sound we have loved for a while, we just couldn't leave Index Code out of this one.

Groovy and catchy French electro with a "modern" Synthwave twist and if that doesn't sound sexy then you might need to check you're on the right page and not here by accident.

Taken from his "Criquets" album which we highly recommend to check out and we most certainly hope to be hearing more from Index Code.

Swedish Darksynth act Midnight Danger doesn't need any introductions. His debut album and live shows have taken the world of Synthwave by storm the last couple of years. 

Extensive touring and a constantly evolving live show might have kept Chris Young from producing a new album but that doesn't mean he couldn't participate in "Powersynth" with one of his older classic tracks. 

Originally produced back in 2016, this is a remastered version of "Darkness Approaches", a song originally written as a tribute to the movie "The Wraith".

Having talked about the Synthwave underground and hidden gems of the scene already during writing these track descriptions it's extremely hard not to think of Netherlands' NVDR and his "Roadkill 2.0" track as another example.

An artist not very well known and probably "buried" under the thousands new artists and tracks being released almost on a daily basis in the genre, we struck gold when we stumbled upon his music during one of our A&R sessions while looking for new talent. 

And when we heard "Roadkill" we instantly knew it had a place on here, since it's been a long time we heard such high octane Outrun. So we were lucky NVDR went back in and reproduced (not just remastered) "Roadkill", which has now fully evolved and transformed into "Roadkill 2.0" and what we consider to be one of the most energetic Outrun tracks out there. We simply can't have enough of it and hope you do too.

Nick Leroy debuts on JST with his 'Palm Highway' EP!

Insipred by '80s films and their soundtracks as well as more contemporary artists, 'Palm Highway' has been in the works since 2017, always evolving and changing. 'I kept adding and reworking tracks' Nick says. 'I didn't want to fixate on one thing so I experimented with different sounds using a number of vintage synthesizers and VST plugins'. The result, a well thought of EP, combining melodic Synthwave with darker and heavier sounds or even lighter Electronica moods at times.

Nicely flowing and high energy, 'Palm Highway' is one of those debuts that just set the bar high and are simply fun to listen to.
