The songs are often about love and life, and many of them are character-based. Rabid vampire zombies, a humble fisherman and his wife, a distraught mother; each with their own story to tell. 

Crystal Porter performs is accompanied onstage by Mat Bridgeo and Travis Darby of Lead Mule. Porter is currently in the process of recording her debut EP.
