The first release of the year from Hot Trax comes from the German duo Raumakustik, with Jamie Jones on remix duty. Having had recent releases on a Grain Audio, Ipoly & Mangue Records, “Raider” is their debut on the Hot Creations subsidiary.

Raumakustik deliver a high energy and rhythmic track with ‘Raider’. The industrial tech-heavy sounds are perfectly mixed with catchy drums and a calling bell. Over on the B-side, Jamie Jones delivers a darker remix to drive music lovers to the dancefloor.

Sebastian and Volker are Raumakustik. They have been creating music together for a number of years and believe in creating tracks that will not only bring listeners to the dancefloor but also stay in their memory.

Jamie Jones launched Hot Trax in 2012 after wanting to create a label that moved away from the well-known and popular sounds of Hot Creations. It has been described as a label for the “headstrong” with previous releases coming from Patrick Topping and wAFF.

German DJ / producer Monte kicked of summer with his massive tune 'Backyard', he now returns with 'Bolide' that comes ready to tackle the back half of the party season!

Monte takes you back to that retro 80s aesthetic (think Miami Vice), but with a deep and solid funk groove lurking beneath. Dubbed a synth freak able to make any sound you could possibly think of almost in seconds on an array of devices, Monte also finds time to fill in as a professional drummer.

As today's exclusive premiere, 'Bolide' is an intricate barrage of ascending synths combine nicely over driven percussion to give a euphoric blasts on the senses. Coming in on Disclosure's Method White label, this one is one to watch through the winter months, for sure!.

Hot Creations are launching a new ‘Paradise on Earth’ DJ Mix series with the first instalment coming as a Mexico special from Paradise residents and label regulars Nathan Barato and Patrick Topping. Each mix is expertly crafted, fusing musical influences with exclusive new material alongside current favourites for your listening pleasure.

The first CD comes from Toronto-based DJ & producer Nathan Barato, an artist that has been on the rapid rise with releases on Cajual, MOOD, Relief, Saved, Circus Records, Defected and of course Hot Creations. Barato’s mix kickstarts with the sonorous opening of Derrick Carter’s ‘Where You at?’ soon venturing into big dancefloor movers like Moritz Piske ‘Dirt Cabana’ and Makam’s ‘Loletta’. Nathan explains, "This is the first compilation I've done, so I was nervous and excited when building the tracklist. I wasn't inclined to make a mix that was only bombs ...I wanted to express myself and show a different side of my sound.”

UK talent Patrick Topping has cemented his status as one of the most in demand names in dance music and this year completing his third summer as resident at DC10 in Ibiza for Paradise. Here Patrick showcases the sound and style of his sets with hi-energy from the word go. “This was my first time putting together a licensed mix and it was such a fun project. Most the tracks are older but I was also luckily enough to include some of my favourite unreleased tracks of the moment. Thanks to Oli Furness, Jack N Jerk, Sean Miller & Elliot Adamson for letting me use these. There are also 3 brand new productions of mine in here.” - Patrick Topping

Since label head and visionary Jamie Jones began his Paradise night at DC10 in Ibiza five years ago, the night has gone on to be by far one of the biggest on the island, inviting the biggest names in the business to come play alongside his solid crew of talented friends and residents. This April sees Roush and VIVa artist Paco Wegmann join Hottrax, featuring three percussive house tracks with Kevin Knapp on vocals and a remix from Valence founder Ambivalent. 

In recent years Wegmann has collaborated with Spaniard Javi Bora, working together on VIVa MUSiC and Jesse Perez’s Mr. Nice Guy Records, not to mention as a trio with Hector Moralez on Roush. Fast becoming a staple in Jamie Jones’ sets, Romania’s Wegmann now joins Hot Creations sublabel Hottrax, following on from releases by Vibe Killers, Kevin Knapp and Mark Jenkyns. 

Whipping snares open ‘Intergalactic’ as a torrent of murky tones join Kevin Knapp’s prominent vocals, paving the way for a bombardment of organic percussion and a rumbling bassline in ‘Yakuza’. Rolling drums then combine with whirring synths in ‘Space Traveller’, before the Ambivalent remix of ‘Intergalactic’ gives the drums more power whilst chopping up the original’s vocals to generate an infectious vibe from start to finish.

Next up on NoExcuse Limited are Matteo Gatti & Fortyseven, with their 'Egyptian Party' single. The duo have had respective releases on some big labels in the past 6-12 months and have now provided us with a substantial track which we are delighted to release on our Limited imprint.

'Egyptian Party' is a chugging Tech House steam train, built out of monstrous drums, a pulsing low-end bass and subtle melodic elements. Add to that the sampling of an iconic vocal, creative use of FX, along with a really potent mix and you have yourself a well oiled machine. 

For the more creative performers, the long format of the track allows plenty of space to play with and provides ample opportunity to create something special for your sets.

Jey has set a precedent for himself continually bringing out a sound unlike any other. 

With the support and backing from some of the biggest names in the industry including Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Matthias Tanzmann, Patrick Topping, Solardo and many more, Jey has returned to the studio and with several EP’s already in the pipleline, this is set to be a defyning time for his talent.
