Crowned ‘Best Newcomer’ at the DJ Awards 2015, Cuartero returns to Hot Creations, following his ‘Dioneli EP’ smash release last year. Fresh on the table, the ‘Disarm EP’ ups the stakes and sheds new light on the talented producer.

Title track ‘Disarm’ was fully formed after days spent exploring his Minimoog, while ‘Mounted’ shows focus in the bassline and underlying swing, embroiled in dark, distorted vocals. Speaking of the final track, Cuartero explains, ‘’It Stops’ is a completely different style of track that adds old radio broadcasting snippets over Detroit stabs.’

Despite being recently named ‘Best Newcomer’, Spanish bred Cuartero has been producing since the tender age of 15 with his first release dropping in 2009. Releases followed on highly acclaimed labels such as Desolat, VIVa MUSIC, Saved, Moon Harbour and Hot Creations, achieving great national and international success with most tracks reaching the Beatport Top 100.

In 2011 he founded his own brand, Sanity, enabling him to start a record label and host parties worldwide with the idea of prioritizing the essence of music over the appearance of top named artists. It was in 2012 things really started to heat up with an abundance of gigs in five continents, numerous top chart positions on, a gig at Amnesia closing and a prized residency at Hyte (Amnesia). Fast forward to the present and the high level of success only continues to soar.

Transitioning in high gear into festival season, Saul Antolin & Gianluca Rattalino present their newest and colossal release entitled "This Is Groove EP".

The duo put forth two massive originals, and in our humble opinion, their best work yet. "This Is Groove" and "Just Dance" consist of bumping house & tech house grooves. Saul and Gianluca cleverly combine peak time moments with  trippy vibes. The Bassel Darwish remix of "This Is Groove" rounds things out in an energetic mood and finishes off what is an excellent EP in magnificent manner.

Illyus & Barrientos return to DFTD with even more live wire energy on their knock-out single ‘Scream’. Coming back strong with a follow up to their summer stomper ‘Takin’ Over’, a firm favourite with BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac amongst many other of their productions, the Glaswegian duo remain true to their straight-up club belter style. The record boasts a body-jerking bassline interlaced with a hollering powerhouse vocal hook and electrifying drops. With its immense warehouse sound, this isn’t just a summer anthem; this record is here for the long haul.

After his artists defining first EP on Hot Creations, Jey has continued his portfolio with a wealth of releases on Moon Harbour and several more EP’s signed to Hot Creations with others throughout the years on more niche labels such as Kaluki, Leftroom, Material and many more. Jey has set a precedent for himself continually bringing out a sound unlike any other. 

With the support and backing from some of the biggest names in the industry including Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Matthias Tanzmann, Patrick Topping, Solardo and many more, Jey has returned to the studio and with several EP’s already in the pipleline, this is set to be a defyning time for his talent.
