In the space of four minutes, Biddlewood can break your heart and make your day. They’ll prove this to you with ‘Young and Foolish’, taken from their upcoming self-titled EP.
 
Recently signed to youth-run record label Decibels Records and entering the studio for the first time, the band are tangibly excited: they have an undeniable, infectious energy, their sound tinged with nostalgia and soaked in sass.
 
With 60s-infused guitar-pop melodies, and lyrics that sound like a conversation you would enjoy overhearing on the tram, these Melbourne girls make music with a maturity and edge that belies their years.
 
Dual frontwomen Tali Harding-Hone and Bridget McArthur, along with drummer and vocalist Isabel Campbell-Taylor wrote their first song together in grade two. In a classic “let’s start a band” narrative, the band learnt their instruments as they went, which might explain the effortlessness of their playing: all three members play with a precision and restraint that lets their songs speak for themselves.
 
The songs may feel short and sweet on the surface, but there’s a sour bite to Biddlewood’s lyrics that will catch you off-guard: “Please don’t tell your friends about s*** that you’ve made up about you and me/Or at least make it easier to believe”.
 
Biddlewood are ready to sweetly lay down the law. Their debut EP will be released October 18 through Decibels Records as part of the 2014 Darebin Music Feast.

Dr Packer is an alias of West Australian Drum & Bass DJ/Producer 'Greg Packer' set up for Remixes & Edits of mainly retro music such as 70's , 80's , 90's Soul , Disco , Funk , Hip Hop & Reggae , Greg although known more for 'Liquid Drum & Bass' regularly plays sets of 'Old School Funk , Disco , Hip Hop Etc' purchasing his first record in 1982 at the age of 10 'Grandmaster Flash - The Message' 

Moving on to the 90's shortly after emigrating to 'Perth Western Australia' greg purchased his first pair of decks in 1989 making this year his 28th year behind the decks , in 1991 he won the WA DMC's and defended the title in 1992 but by this time greg preferred Club Dj-ing and longer sets rather than a 5 minute scratch battle routine... 

Greg then moved onto 'Jungle & Drum & Bass' music in the early 90s and often regarded as a pioneer of that sound in Australia winning many awards and went semi global touring (UK , Europe , Asia , New Zealand & Australia) 

In 1998 Greg took up production and set up his own studio running his own label 'Interphase Music' He produced over 100 tracks & remixes under the name 'Greg Packer' and was signed to many other labels in the UK & USA including LTJ Bukem's  'Good Looking Records'

By 2013 greg began mixing entire sets from CD therefore searching for music online , he started picking up re-edits and he loved the way the original songs were beefed up and sounded fat on a club system but the original vibe was still there , these edits were quantised perfectly meaning you were able to beat mix them flawlessly unlike playing the original vinyl... 

In August 2013 Greg Produced his first two edits under the name 'Dr Packer'  which has caught the attention of labels such as 'Defected / Glitterbox , Z Records , Disco Dat , Hot Digits , Masterworks Music & Midnight Riot' resulting in a number one chart position for every EP release so far on the 'Juno Download sales chart' 

2015 saw 'Dr Packer' take the number one spot on the 'Traxsource Best Nu-Disco Producer' and number 5 for 2016 , he has had the opportunity to officially remix music by artists such as 'Bootsy Collins' and 'Robert Owens' and attack the back catalogs of Simon Dunmore's Defetced label and Joey Negro's 'Z Recordings' 

2016 saw Dr Packer break out globally behind the decks in places such as 'London , Ibiza , Croatia , Scotland ,  Denmark , Germany , Singapore , Bali , Abu Dhabi & all over Australia' playing alongside some heavyweights such as 'Dimitri From Paris , Joey Negro , John Morales , Greg Wilson , LNTG ,  Basement Jaxx , Crazy P , Sonny Fodera ,  Jazzi B (Soul II Soul) Faze Action'
