Hiatus over, Pluie/Noir podcasts are back, this time with a name little name change, in anticipation of a new collaboration with the @ringsofneptune agency managed by both @soundslikenies and @cleymoore. This podcast has been ready for more than a year, but due to the uncertainty of the future of this project, it was put on hiatus for a while. 

At last, we're delighted to welcome Clovis to the series. Clovis's music selection is remarkably timeless and perfect for the last moments of Winter (in the Northern Hemisphere, mind us). An interview is up on Rings of Neptune's official page. Enjoy!

Estimulo started his career on Berlin's pirate radio scene in the late 1980s, and is nowadays one of the most respected underground house DJs in Europe.

With a special focus on Deep, Bleep, Chicago & Italian house sounds, he has released many celebrated mixtapes and podcasts over the years, recently turning heads with his contribution to @melbourne-deepcast & backing it up with his first trip to Australia in early 2023.

Known as a "DJ's DJ" across many realms of classic dance music, I owe my love of Italian House, Bleeps & Breaks, and several other subgenres to this man, and it was an honour to host him for 2 separate events in Brisbane.

The first was at our secret location (pictured), which sadly was not recorded. Then we made last-minute plans for a Thursday night party at this rad West End venue called It's Still A Secret.

It is by pressing play on the fourth installment of event collective Likeminded podcast series that we got introduced to Koen FM's very unique musical universe. We immediately wanted to hear more from him and his collection of records. 

Koen is a Montessori primary school teacher based in Amsterdam. Besides being a teacher, he has been collecting electronic music for +/- 15 years and DJ’ing every now and then.

Talking about his selection for this podcast, he shared the following with us: "I’ve always been fascinated by cosmic, dubby, ambient, techno and downtempo sounds like you could hear on MTV chill out zone back when I was little. Although I do check new stuff that comes out, I mostly like to dig through records that come from the ’90s. This mix contains a bit of both, older and newer tunes. Some digital and some vinyl records."

Koen does not often record podcasts, and we are super thankful to have his contribution for our series. He once again opened up the doors to his psychedelic, cosmic and very cinematic music selection, offering the Polychrome Radio its first downtempo podcast, and a simply superb recording.

Finn Johannsen is a bit of an unsung hero – not one to seek the limelight or stardom he has given more to the wlectronic music community than most having worked in numerous capacities over many years. Finn has worn many hats – a journalist, a promoter, a label boss, a DJ and beyond. His taste is ridiculously good and you’d be hard pushed to find someone who knows as much about the lineage and roots of dance music as he does.

At present he works behind the scenes at the infamous Paloma in Berlin.

It is also here that he has become a figurehead behind the stellar club night Power House which has helped breathe life into the fundamentals and roots of House music in the city at its core.

Few DJ’s are as technically able as Finn, who regularly plays mammoth extended vinyl sets which span hours at a time.

This mix is honestly long overdue, we thought we’d asked him before but we hadn’t. Thankfully it’s better than even we could have imagined.
