Neandathal has always been the epitimy of Underground Hip-Hop. Beginning his career on the streets of Waukegan and later Chicago, Il., Neandathal's upbringing as an artist stems from being a street emcee. Writing since the age of 12, a passion for street battles and ciphers morphed into a world of creating art through music. The Neandathal was created in an attempt to bring the younger generation back to the essence of the Hip-Hop culture, which is slowly being forgotten by the future generations of the movement. An underground career in Chicago Hip-Hop has given the 'Caveman' a profound perspective of the artform, music, culture, and business. The aim is not to necessarily become rich off his art, or perform for fame, the aim of Neandathal is to make music for his own soul and well-being, in an attempt to capture the hearts and minds of all those willing to listen. When this is accomplished, one song and project at a time, the rewards from the respect and lives he was able to touch, is more than enough for compensation. The bar will always be set higher and our work not only as artists, but as human beings, is NEVER OVER.
