Naturally, the world class Elektron sequencer is an integral part of Digitone. Four tracks are available for the internal sounds and four dedicated MIDI tracks stand ready for controlling external gear. Use the sequencer to quickly add chords or create melodies adhering to a specific scale. Add probability settings to individual notes. Create tracks with different lengths. Digitone makes it easy to create intricate and musical patterns.

Udjat ft. Igor Pose - A New Hope

Udjat is a producer and artist with a focus on making music that sets the bar higher when it comes to creativity and vision. His most recent studio release is inspired by techno and minimalism, going for a richly nuanced sound that is based on the combination of synth bass patterns and hard-hitting drum machine samples. While the drums kick off the song by themselves, the groove quickly gives way to an arpeggiated bassline, which itself delves into a melodic and atmospheric song that still retains a lot of grooves. Perhaps a reference to the first Star Wars movie, perhaps a glimmer of solace for these difficult times we are experiencing, “A New Hope” isn’t just a catchy and captivating title: it is a track with a lot to offer in terms of production and composition. There is a darker, haunting atmosphere to this particular release, which works really well with the simplicity of the chord structure, offering the audience a cinematic take on great electronic music. The melodic bridge with the triplet arpeggios is truly stunning, almost reminiscent of the work of pianists such as Ludovico Einaudi or Alexandre Desplat, but within the context of edgy electronic music.
