From the young age of 10 StartupSlick was an avid gamer and stumbled upon liquid atmospheric neurofunk drum and bass from the video game Unreal Tournament 1999 which heavily influenced his musical tastes and style. Upon turning 16 he gravitated to southern gangster music after he designed his first speaker enclosures from scratch and was looking to test limits of his setup. Later on in his mid 20s he built a 6X6 housetruck which broke down in LA. During his time in LA StartupSlick was taken under wing by Corpse Toe where he was introduced so some of the best G-House, Drum and Bass, Witch House and Deep House that LA had to offer. Since then, he has returned home where he plays in remote locations in Arizona.

Corpse Toe started his musical voyage over 16 years ago , Hacking casios, midi devices and any electronic gear he could get his hands on..He was influenced mostly by death metal and industrial until he was introduced to breakcore by The Darkmatter crew..who always found the darkest of all electronic music that LA had to offer. Corpse focused on Breakcore for a while until he discovered the sounds of Drum and Bass.,This also lead him to adventure into other realms of IDM and even some house music…Corpse spent several years playing different genres and experimenting with his sound.. Nothing really stuck until Burning Man 2005. This is when he first discovered dubstep...He fell in love with the slow dark bass and futuristic frequencies booming from the speakers…He instantly went home and begin the search for some new sounds..But dubstep was very new at this point so most of it was on wax and very hard to find..Until July 2006, when Pinch and Distance invaded Los Angeles on one fateful evening…This night was the catalyst of many new crews and a whole new music scene in Los Angeles….Corpse Toe took the time to go back and trace the roots of this new music which lead him to love the world of 2-step and UK Garage as well… Since then Corpse toe has performed at gigs such as Chriskwanzakkah, Dystopian Desert Frolic, Club Chrome, Club Chola (resident), Wasteland Weekend, Harsh Pulse, SDC, Hive Gallery, Devil's Playground Burlesque, Lucidity, Burningman, and Vivified. He has also hosted a countless amount of events along side his local influences and friends: Unilluminode, Vextenex, Baseck, Machete, Clutch, Sonic Death Rabit, Ear Juice, Mid-Air,Antiserum, Walter Gross, Antiserum, Emu, Reneegade Renee, Bzzrrrp! Now a days Corpse Toe breaks the boundaries of genre and plays everything… Breakcore, IDM , Drum n Bass (from groove to brutal), Dubstep (all styles), Deep House, chill/Ambient, Chill/hop, Dirty South Trap Style, Witch House, G-House…. Whatever he is playing…he does it with passion and style like no other…
