Lola's HI/LO lounge on Madison's Northside - SHE'S A VIBE!  When I play there on occasion, I get to spread my wings a bit and spin some of my favorite JAMZ.  I usually start out the vibez with funk -n- disco into 80's and trip-hop/hip-hop... then find my way into some chill yet funky house grooves... We're lucky to have such a sweet spot in Madison, Wisconsin to play our music.  Luckily, I convinced THE MAN to let me break the speed limit a little with some deep house music vibes!  Don't worry, I keep it supremely inthe deep love zone...  AND, I was able to play test for the first time a couple of songs by Jason Velo coming from our recent vinyl release GEAR ONE on my new record label Noonish Records. Trujilo's Mix July 2025

So I realised recently that I had live streamed my DJ set at Smart Bar in Chicago on Facebook (remember doing stuff like that?) while on a completely amazing coast to coast tour of the USA in 2019. So that means I can rip the audio and here we have slightly over 1 hour of my set from that night. 

Huge thanks to Roger That from Playground Records for booking me at the legendary Smart Bar - it was an honour to finally play there. 

It's really cool to hear what I was playing on that tour 6 years later - was such a great time! I would have been back sooner but alas my visa ran out before the Covid restrictions were lifted and it's such a faff to get a new one. I will be back! 

I have a funny memory of Michael Serafini rushing the booth because I'd played 'Manhood' by Vikter Duplaix and he'd 'not heard it for years' - it meant a lot to have people like Michael come to support. Shouts to Oren and Katherine who played some great stuff - it was a brilliant night.

It's been a while. How are you? 
I'm fully rested after the summer break, re-inspired to continue the deep explorations of the sessionAlpha25 shows. This session, a mixture of house and rhythms, is heavily centred on the Detroit vibe. Loopy vibes sit side by side with the deepest of the deep. Good times!
All blended to take you on a blissful journey, or help you focus on that task, mixed in one take. I'm actually really pleased where I ended up. 
Hop on board and come along for the ride. 
It's a vibe, don't you know.
