It's more musical than my Shadows and it's amazing

Lekka chilluh op die billen. Super chill weer deze!

This is bathed in cool, a sweet noir vibe and fine performances. The production is beautifully done as well with the string touches that enlighten the mix. The minor key tonalities with sprinkles of augmented and diminished are a feast for the ears.

What a take off! And a de-li-cious groove.

Depression Underneath The Comedy

It is the second act of an uncoiling Shakespearean tragedy with the return of all the bad actors; the corrupt courtiers, the feckless sons and whorish handmaids, the ambitious assassins, the smug black robed judges and boot licking lawyers, the drooling oligarchs, the sycophant politicians and slimy religious zealots, all eager to have their way with the women and the daughters who cannot appeal to justice because justice is vanquished. No checks, no balance. 

The final act portends banishment and deportation, violence and failed foreign alliances, right wing retribution, final solutions and the mad king’s revenge. It is all tear stained and blood drenched in irony as the authors and audience of this particular tragedy are the people themselves.

Devilish People (Rework 2024)

As I've started doing lately, this is a short excerpt, focusing on just the closing section of a full piano tune I recorded around 2001. The approach kind of reminds of the ending of "Crime Of The Century" by Supertramp (obviously nowhere near as interesting). Apologies for the poor recording quality, and the piano sound wasn't the greatest back then. Still, this little 1-minute closing section is still one of my favourite things I've recorded.
